I think I'm getting rid of Netflix after Bridgerton airs. I've had enough of them constantly canceling Originals that I actually enjoyed (and had decent ratings) and going up in price. They recently cancelled The Brothers Sun (who was constantly in their Top 5 as well as having good word of mouth) and between that and them never getting the 4th season of Babylon Berlin I'm done. Why should I get invested in any of their new shows if they're just going to cancel them after the first season? We prefer apple, so we're going getting rid of Netflix

As long as Netflix has The Walking Dead, I'll keep it. I don't watch as much on Netflix as I used to, but it's usually the first streamer I check when I'm looking for something to watch.

WE watched a three part documentary "The Program" about "schools" for troubled teens. Half these kids were barely troubled and these schools handing out diplomas not worth the paper they were printed on. Abusive, mind control.... sad part is this isn't just one school but a whole bunch of them that still exist.

AMERICAN NIGHTMARE
This is only 3 episodes.
Absolutely shocking the whole story.
If you chose to watch it do NOT google for SPOILERS.
Just watch to the end.
You are going to want to binge all 3 episodes at once.

I'll have to check out Ripley. I LOOOOVE Andrew Scott (Hot Priest = )
Has anyone watched Homicide? I watch a fair amount of true crime and it's not all created equal. I would watch MANY more seasons of that show! I thought it was excellent. I thought the production value was really high and found all of the investigators/attorneys/etc. really likeable and interesting. That one woman with the short blonde hair who was in about half the episodes reminded me so much of Jane Lynch that, if they did a scripted series based on these cases, they would definitely have to cast her!

Is anyone else watching Unlocked: A Jail Experiment? I just started episode 2 and am wondering how this isn't going to be an absolute disaster. I hope it isn't, but I don't feel any optimism. There are just so many of these guys who are resistant to any kind of rules, even if the rules come from other inmates.

Just finished E3 Critical, I asked hubby if he was interested in watching something like this not knowing what it would be like ... he said " sure let's try one epi" and I will say we are both finding this interesting. We will finish it tomorrow night.

Just finished E3 Critical , I asked hubby if he was interested in watching something like this not knowing what it would be like ... he said " sure let's try one epi" and I will say we are both finding this interesting. We will finish it tomorrow night. I'm on episode 4 and have been pleasantly surprised. I wish we were getting more info about the individual inmates. It seems like we're only getting a little bit. I'd like to know how long each of them has been incarcerated. Okay, and just after I typed that, here comes a profile about one of the guys that has more information
I think this is sort of in-line with the reforms that people are calling for re: doing away with solitary confinement and giving inmates more opportunity and programs to make their lives better, whether it's something like this or those programs where inmates raise guide dogs. I'm not saying that will work for ALL inmates, but I think some prisons make things worse. Especially if inmates are going to be released, the system should be doing something to help prepare them to live in the world.
ETA: Okay, I'm watching episode 5 and I'm surprised....but it's not pleasant. I feel for the older guys. The young kids are going to ruin it for all of them. Bunch of idiots.

I think some of the reason these inmates were behaving with being UNLOCKED is because they all were LOCKED UP and can you imagine they were locked up for 23/1 EVERY DAY ....... OMG. But if a INMATE comes in from the outside to serve their sentence they may not appreciate getting a sentence in this Arkansas prison that is unlocked. They may abuse it. Like you said ESP the younger ones. OMG did you see the inmates getting tattoos in that UNSANITARY environment. How about the inmate making that shank at the end of E3 .... OMG hubby and I thought the evening will be scary once everyone is in their beds. BUT then he was REMOVED from that POD. Quite frankly, we thought inmate making that shank OUT IN THE OPEN did that on purpose to get removed from the POD esp after he YELLED AT ALL OF THEM that they will be sorry. They all give themselves NICKNAMES. They were grossing me out when they were trying to show the cameras that they make alcoholic drinks .... that looked sooooooooo GROSS. We plan to finish 4-5-6 tonight!!!

Haven't watched it yet but apparently creepers on the Internet are trying to track down "Martha" now? What is WRONG with people? I'm really glad that the comedian never released her name because unfortunately this is the world we live in.

Hubby and I just found this as we looked around Netflix ...... " KILLING EVE". www.imdb.com/title/tt7016936/"After a series of events, the lives of a security operative and an assassin become inextricably linked."We are on Series 1 of 4. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are soooooooo AWESOME in this series!!!!

I agree with ccl Series 1 is Prime tv viewing. Series 2 was kinda iffy, but still good. Series 3 was a steep decline, and I didn't bother with the 4th one but from what I've seen people were really unhappy.

Ripley - never mind all those reviews griping about it being in black and white, I think that made it better. The whole thing was gorgeous, total eye candy. And Andrew Scott was absolutely fantastic. I might just watch the whole thing again this week. I also want that cat.

momrek06 Lucio is a perfect name for him, such a stately cat. He was a scene stealer, for sure. FannyMare Yes! All the details popped in B&W, and it seemed like the sound was crisper to me, too. Maybe they recorded it differently? Whatever they did, I loved it.
