I love a good Heist movie, and "Lift" was extremely good! Kevin Hart wasn't annoying for once, and I'll watch Gugu in anything. It was also nice to see Jean Reno acting again.

It's quite fun and the locations are beautiful, especially if you've spent time in the Italian/Swiss Alps. Definitely worth a watch.

New season of Love on the Spectrum is out. It's the best show on television. Prove me wrong.

New season of Love on the Spectrum is out. It's the best show on television. Prove me wrong. I binged the whole thing Saturday night into Sunday. I just love that show. Abby and David are so cute together. And her mom is right, he does look out for her and calm her. Tanner is a joy.

Joy is the perfect word to describe Tanner. I find myself grinning ear to ear the entire time I watch it. I giggled my way through Steve's entire date with Sharona as she was definitely too much for him And Dani with all her sex talk It's so sweet and wholesome and I feel lucky just to see a bit of all of their lives.

I could tell how uncomfortable Steve was but he was polite and hid it well. Heck, I was uncomfortable! He just needs to find someone who is a bit low key, cute and who doesn't push it. Sharona was just "THERE".

100% Sharona was too much for ME! But very sweet, too. Steve seems to have a crush on his helper/companion ...not sure what to call her.

Sofia Vergara was outstanding as Griselda Blanco.

Griselda was a Colombian Drug Lord back in the 80's.

I finally finished The Crown last night and while I loved it, I was left just wanting more, especially since I knew there was more story to tell, more of her life left. I understand why they didn't go into the details of current events and those who are still living such as, Kate & William and Harry & Meghan but the finale episode just fell a little flat for me I was touched more by the episode of Margaret's death than I was by The Queen's

I too find KH loud screaming stick a bit much, it was refreshing to see him calm and doing a good job playing the lead. There must have been a very strong director.
I had seen an interview with KH and his two leading ladies and it was very obvious KH was his usual hammy self on set from all the head nodding and side eye the actresses were giving KH when asked how KH behaved on set.
Overall the film was enjoyable.

American Nightmare - I'm glad the cops in the OTHER department wanted to actually do their jobs. What a mess.
The Greatest Night in Pop - about the making of the "We Are the World" song. Fun 80's documentary...and I felt so bad for Bob Dylan!

American Nightmare - I'm glad the cops in the OTHER department wanted to actually do their jobs. What a mess. Yea, that was terrible. Initially, I doubted the story because it sounded so OTT. Considering the perp, it makes sense. And the police! That was just awful.

Society of the Snow - another retelling of the rugby team's plane crash back in 72...the crash scene was brutal but the film overall was beautifully done. Better than Alive, in my opinion. In Spanish, but the English dubbing isn't awful if that's your preference.

The Greatest Night in Pop - about the making of the "We Are the World" song. Fun 80's documentary...and I felt so bad for Bob Dylan! I watched this last night. I was surprised at how driven and energetic Lionel Richie was throughout the process, considering he had the host the AMAs the same night AND deal with the press after sweeping the awards. Overall I liked the narrative they told about what happened and how everyone behaved. Over the years, there have been different accounts of how things went down depending on who was talking. There are some rehearsal videos on YouTube that the documentary used for footage:

I enjoyed this immensely. Thanks for sharing. Who is the dude who keeps messing up after Willie Nelson sings? He looks very familiar, but I can't recall his name. During these rehearsals Diana Ross is the standout, in my opinion. Her voice is very strong and on pitch, to my ears. Michael Jackson sounds really good, too, but the volume is low.

That was jazz vocalist Al Jarreau. He had some crossover hits back then. The documentary reveals that he was hitting the wine heavily throughout the night.

The Postcard Killings - an okay crime drama that I only watched for Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Lover, Stalker, Killer - a messy true crime doc with a twist.
The Tourist - VERY good thriller about a man waking up in the Australian Outback with amnesia. A second season is coming in a couple weeks...

Avatar - The Last Airbender - live action series, 8 episodes - based on the animation series that first aired on Nickelodeon.
Highly recommend.
NOT the same as the very bad 2010 movie The Last Airbender. Big difference is the story - the names are the same - with 8 episodes you get to tell a better story. You get a lot of the same feelings as the cartoon series. The animated series was for young kids, but it taught a lot about the balance in the world, and friendship, and there were dark moments also regarding war, greed, and killing. My big complaint about the new series is mainly the costumes, and set designs. You cannot do one for one designs when going from a medium like comic books, graphic novels, and animated series to real life and expect it to look anything but cartoonish. The 2010 movie did a better job with the set design making the temples look real, the war ships look real, they changed the costumes also so they looked like real life working clothes. That and those stupid beads in Katara's hair and Soka's neck-piece were simply too distracting. Also Princess Yue's hair was a terrible wig.
Perfect casting for the Firelord.
Aang does a good job, it helps when you have an actor vs someone who does martial arts trying to act like they did in the movie.
Azula and her three friends feel a little off and also their costumes can use work.
A Martinez plays Northern Water Tribe Water Bender Master Pakku - barely recognized him.

Can I Tell You a Secret, which is about a highly prolific stalker in Great Britain. I knew where it was going as it was no secret as to who was doing it, but my God, the guy has major problems. I can't imagine what these women went through.

Spaceman - Adam Sandler plays a Czech astronaut who has an existential crisis alone (?) out in space. The reviews are all over the place for this one - and I get why it might not be everyone's cup of tea - but I really enjoyed it.

I think I'm getting rid of Netflix after Bridgerton airs. I've had enough of them constantly canceling Originals that I actually enjoyed (and had decent ratings) and going up in price. They recently cancelled The Brothers Sun (who was constantly in their Top 5 as well as having good word of mouth) and between that and them never getting the 4th season of Babylon Berlin I'm done. Why should I get invested in any of their new shows if they're just going to cancel them after the first season?
