Today I watched FRANKIE and JOHNNY on HBO. 1991. Oldie but goodie. Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino.
I know I saw this movie yearssssss ago but had forgotten what a huge cast it has. Fun movie for a dreary cold pouring rainy day in SoCal.

Just like Netflix where you can binge a SERIES? I realize there is a STARZ channel like HBO but HBO series drop once a week. I would like to watch multiple episodes at one time and not wait weekly for each one. They are also showing $5.00 a month for Starz for three months.

HBO, Starz, Epix & Showtime are free on Spectrum! stargazer161 .... I have Spectrum and I pay monthly for HBO and SHOW. I am on my tv right now and all 7 of the STARZ channels available on Spectrum state I have to UPGRADE (pay) to view this channel. I would love to watch Starz hence me looking into the $5.00/month for 3 months. Do you think it may be FREE just in your area?

Is While You Were Sleeping on a streaming service, or do you have the DVD? I remember her in the toll booth for some reason. Disney+ has it.

ETA: Oh, dear...I did a search on Disney + and I went through the movie A-Z catalogue and didn't find it. Was it a sub to Disney +/

I saw Parasite, the new movie by director Bong Joon-Ho (Snowpiercer). This is, hands down, the BEST movie I've seen in years. The movie begins with a poor, con-arty family called the Kims who through devious ways all get employed by a extremely rich but slightly naiive family called The Parks. The Kims get involved with the Park's family dynamic in interesting ways that are agreeable to both parties until half-way through the film a monkey wrench is thrown into the whole affair which then sends the viewer on a wild ride until the explosive ending. I was not expecting any of the events that unfolded and at certain points my mouth was actually hanging open likw "WHUT?!" If you like foreign films this is a not-miss; if it's in your area GO SEE IT. You will not be disappointed. Just watched Parasite (on long-term loan from the library because of COVID-19). I never could have imagined the ending. Actually quite a few abrupt plot twists. I recommend it.

It Chapter 2 - ran too long (almost 3 hours) and wasn't terribly scary, but it was entertaining enough. The old woman in the apartment creeped me out more than It did. Clowns still suck. Good Boys - raunchy comedy featuring a group of 12 year old boys. Not a movie for kids, though!

Toy Story 4. It was bittersweet, even though I loved Forky. IMO, they should have stopped with 3 as that was perfect.

I finally watched Clue last night! I remember when it came out in the mid 80s thinking it was so cool a movie had three endings. But I never watched it. It’s in Amazon Prime now so I finally watched it. It was a lot of fun!

Hubby was talking yesterday morning about an old Streisand film that I'd never seen. I love Streisand so we decided to check if it was airing on some channel. Amazon Prime had it as a rental for $3.99 which was a bummer that we had to pay for a film from 1974! I had a credit so it wound up being only 99 cents but it was worth the 4 bucks. " For Pete's Sake", a screwball comedy, with Michael Sarrazin as her husband. Very funny movie!

The Gospel According to Andre on Hulu. It's a documentary about iconic fashion editor Andre Leon Talley. I just finished his memoir a few days ago and wanted more. Definitely

Last night Stuber premiered in HBO and I decided to give it a try because they filmed a scene near my work. I suffered through it so all of you would not have to, The only thing it had going for it was that it was fortunately short!

I watched Little Women. Yup, loved it. And I read that Timothy Chalemet is only 5ft 10 inches.
