Shazam! - cute, different take on all the superhero movies. I liked it.
Rambo: Last Blood - good grief, who gave this the green light? This one doesn't belong in the Rambo series...grim, super gory and generally unpleasant, with a 73 year old Stallone looking like an extra from The Walking Dead. Ugh.
Child's Play (2019) - Chucky is still a creepy little thing in this reboot. Nothing terribly original, but good for a few laughs.

Lol, I told my husband too that Sylvester Stallone looked terrible in the latest Rambo! I’m glad it will be the last movie of that franchise ..

Love Wedding Repeat last night on Netflix. A charming little film with a British/Italian cast (with the exception of Olivia Munn) set in Italy.

The Gospel According to Andre on Hulu. It's a documentary about iconic fashion editor Andre Leon Talley. I just finished his memoir a few days ago and wanted more. Definitely Watched it and loved it. He reminds me so much of a older professor I had in grad school. He had either been mentored by, worked with, or friends with some of the great Swiss designers (Armin Hofman, Emil Ruder, Herbert Bayer, Paul Rand, etc) and would frequently tell us the craziest stories in class about living in Basel and these people, and it was great. I loved all of his stories because it's always good to hear from people who actually knew and were friends with people we only hear about either on TV or books.

Sorry to Bother You. Wow. I don't even know what to say about this film. What I thought would be an interesting movie about code-switching, the bs behind telemarketing, weird performance art, and race and class satire takes a dark, weird, surrealist turn in the middle of the film and goes places you'd never thought. I'm still on the fence regarding actually liking it, but I can definitely say it's one of the more unique films I've seen this year.

I watched a film called Cocktail, that came out when I was a kid. I never saw it before, but it was better than I thought it would be. Tom Cruise is still the only actor to have two movies come out during the same year where one movie was nominated for an oscar and the other nominated for a razzie award.

Dark Phoenix was not just bad, it retroactively changed some things in movies that had already happened.

That’s covered by the time hop in Days of Future Past. Since Wolverine travelled in time for that movie, it means anything in the original cast movies can be reset.

Yep, yep, yep! This one hit way too close to home as it takes place in Roslyn, an uber wealthy community on the North Shore of Long Island. As a fellow Long Islander, this was huge news when the story broke. I was anxiously awaiting its release and it did not disappoint. Allison Janney was spot on with her Lawn Guyland accent and the make-up department did a really good job at making the handsome Hugh Jackman resemble Dr. Frank Tassone. Ray Romano was good, too, as the school board president. Truth be told I felt a little bit guilty enjoying the film so much because it really was a terrible thing to happen to the taxpayers of Roslyn and their children in the school district.

It was one thing to STEAL ALL THAT MONEY but what was horrid was the THIEVES did not think they had done anything wrong. Whattttttt? When the lead lady ... Allison Janney came clean to her family AFTER SHE WAS FIRED, she tried so hard blaming it on everyone BUT HERSELF. It was her daughter that was BEYOND SHOCKED that her mother did all this STEALING that the daughter was physically sick to her stomach. AND Frank too ....... what the what ......... they both stole MILLIONS of dollars and could not believe they were being arrested. Huh ...... Janney spent day and night DELETING all her daily personal charges from the school computers yet thought that stealing all that money was NOT AN ISSUE .......

We started bingeing the Bourne movies. I've never been a fan, but I'm so desperate for entertainment that I'm actually enjoying them!

I watched an oldy (2005) .... PROOF with Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins. Very good. Great acting. www.imdb.com/title/tt0377107/I did notice when the credits came up that Harvey Weinstein was the executive producer. I remember reading the GP had issues with HW coming on to her.

She had a complicated relationship with him. I think she had the blessing of being able to avoid any issues in her career continuing to deal with him because of powerful people like Stephen Spielberg who are friends with her parents and could protect her from him. It allowed her to continue doing movies he was producing - and for a while there she was pretty much the face of successful Miramax movies.

Love Happens (needed a cheesy feel good movie) I don't even remember seeing this come out some 11 years ago, which is strange b/c I really like Aaron Eckhart. I checked out the trailer and it looks cute and is available on Amazon Prime so I will check it out maybe this weekend.

Aeon Flux. It really doesn't matter what it is, if it includes Charlize Theron it is a good thing. The most stunning woman in the movies? IMO, yep..with Gal Gadot coming on strong.

We tried watching it tonight on the Roku as Starz was airing. We have that channel in our cable TV service but for some reason it wasn't letting us view it. We watched Lady Bird instead on Amazon Prime. Loved it!
