True, it was more about the fact that this church as Punkin said, does tithe There are a lot of churches that encourage tithing. It’s biblically based. Some will teach tithing and then trust parishioners faith to decide if they do or not. Some will go so far as reviewing people’s tax documents to ensure they are giving that they should. Different people look for different levels of discipline. personally I don’t like the way this show uses religion to make what I think is an anti religion point. It makes me uncomfortable to listen to Heather frame everything in terms of Mormon culture. I have some Mormon friends who are nothing like she describes, which says to me that like most faiths people vary greatly. I’m not impressed with Mary and Pentecostalism would probably never be with me. But I don’t like the way Bravo seems to be using her worst sides to make a point. |

Yup, Heather is obsessed, with framing everything around being a mormon. As I posted earlier, my cousins, did very well, both men have great jobs, they both went away for a year to do missionary work, so I know the good and the bad.

It's hard to like this show especially with a lunatic like Jen on it..she can't verbalize how she feels, so she works herself up , and has a nasty temper tantrum, and walks away. Heather needs to stop chasing after her. I did lol when Heather walked into her teeny room, full of stupid people she employees, these glam squads and bodyguards are too much. Best part, the dog pooping on Brooks coat, maybe hang it up next time, poopy head, or take the dog for a walk.  |

I'm pretty sure that Beyonce may not even have an entourage the size that Jen does! It's just silly and over the top! IMO, Jen is everything that can be bad about a Housewife - she has so little self awareness that she has no idea that no one is buying the image of the person she's pretending to be. The biggest party planner in any city does not throw her husband's birthday party at Top Golf with Top Golf handling the accommodations. So when she tells everyone she's such a big deal, we can see she's not. Friends get support from friends by deserving it - not by demanding it. A woman with great style dresses with originality - not by trying to recreate J-Lo's looks. In her mind, I think she believes she's Erika Jane. But she is SO far from that - and has no clue.
I also, after a full season, am no closer to being able to tell Meredith and Lisa apart. There have been other housewives that look alike in the past - it took me a while to tell Delores and Siggy apart in New Jersey. But not only do Meredith and Lisa look alike - their lives are too similar. I have no idea which of them has which storyline!

I'm like "okay, one of them has a husband who works in Ohio ...but I don't remember which one ... one of them has a son who is a fashion designer ... but I don't remember which one ... one of them has a tequila ... but I don't remember which one. If next season they brought back one of them and combined their storylines, I don't think I'd notice! |

Jen and coach, what a set up, gawd. She should leave the show. Mary should leave, her poor choir were in tears. Take Brooks with them. I'm okay with the rest, sort of. Heather remains my favorite, followed by Whitney, but not her dad. |

These women don't understand the difference between editorial and life ... likely because they hang out at Top Golf and restaurants across the street from PF Changs instead of at the kinds of events covered in the social pages of those magazines! (and there's nothing wrong BTW with Top Golf and the restaurants across from PF Changs - I go there all the time ... but I"m not going on TV to tell people how glamorous my life is and how much people should aspire to be like me)

Haha, yeah the mask was too much! She tries too hard! On another forum I visit Meredith's son Brooks is disliked by many. He comes off as very pretentious.
At the end of the finale they mentioned there is a 3 part reunion...and I sighed out loud. Why must they drag it on for 3 episodes..?

They probably have to do it in 3 parts because it will take 35 minutes for one question to be answered with all the yelling and talking over each other these women do! Do you remember after the premiere episode they were all on WWHL? IT was a MESS with Mary and Jen going at each other with everything said! Even if Whitney was asked a question, Jen and Mary would yell at each other.
I've committed to not forming an opinion on Brooks. I don't think it's fair to put kids his age on TV and subject them to judgement by the viewing public.

He only designs track pants, and online they look the same, nothing special at all I agree about the younger children or teens that feel awkward . But he's 21, and I think he can be criticized just like the rest jmho |

I can only stand Whitney and Heather. But the rest of the cast is difficult to stomach imo. Apparently it got quite the ratings and Andy loves it soooo I don't we will see any changes. Except perhaps Mary as she barely contributed anything. I love that Rihanna DM'd Heather! |

Heather ran away with all the online polling, she was most liked, most down to earth.. etc. Whitney and her new globes, sure it was just a lift.  Jen seemed to shrink down in her chair, her face has way, way too much botox...scary. She knows she came across way too harsh. Lisa dismissing Andy, LOL. I kind of liked that, I bet she is a hard to work with..jmho. She seemed very bitter about how she was perceived Something went on between Lisa and Meredith we didnt see...again jmho Nice of Mary to show up( finally) although some of the points she made, were right on.. Meredith , Brooks, Brooks Brooks, yawn I don't think these women like one another. Except for the two I liked from the start, Whitney and Heather.. |

Yah, I actually enjoyed Mary on the reunion. When she did speak she was pretty right on in her assessments. I'd like her to loosen up a little and not have Jen Shah be her only storyline.

I think the problem with Mary though is that she's so hyper aware of her image as it plays back to her church leadership that she's always going to resist participating. I see her similar to Kim Fields in that respect. If she had found a way to come across more motherly or mature, she could take a Caroline Manzo approach in dealing with the other women where she'd be the voice of reason she was for the reunion. But she has not established the kinds of relationships necessary with the other women to be the wise one dispensing advice.
I think they cast her because she was the oddity who married her grandfather and would generate buzz. But she can't / won't offer much beyond that.
