It's definitely odd. I'm not even sure I believe it...it's that strange!! Are they just trying to come up with a storyline?
Mary's facial expressions crack me up. But it's pretty sad when you are that disgusted by your husband. Does she feel like she has to stay with him because of her grandma's wishes?

I think Mary complains about him for attention. I think she wants her freedom, but also wants the security he brings her. If she had the chance to get rid of him, I don’t think she’d take it. I kind of think some of her talk is in response to being embarrassed by how people reacted to her marriage last season.
I have an aunt like that. The whole time she was married she complained about her husband non stop. She talked about how much happier she’d be without him - and he said some of the same things about her. But when he was dying, their true feelings came out and it was evident they truly loved each other. I think Mary may be the same way.

Andy did declare on WWHL last night that the episode 2 weeks from now - after Jen's arrest - he considers the best Housewives episode ever done.

I heard him say that!! I have hope I like the franchise. Whitney and Heather are two of my favorite housewives but there is just something lacking and I don't know how to put my finger on it yet. |

I still think that the franchise comes across like women who are avid viewers of Housewives throwing a costume party to pretend to be housewives ... but when I'm making my choice on Sundays after Succession to watch either Potomac or Salt Lake City, I pick SLC every time.

Apparently Cameron (the man in last nights episode) passed away in June So sad! He was only 33. It looks like he was a good guy who was involved in a lot of worthy causes. |

It was interesting to re-watch the HSI raid last night with the additional footage. I think Bravo was smart to handle this the way they did, showing the scenes at the start of the season so we were familiar with it, but then adding in some additional moments. I"m looking forward to next week - Andy reiterated on WWHL that he thinks it's one of the best episodes of a Housewives show ever, and added that it all takes place over about 8 hours with most of it being the women on the bus ride figuring out what is going on.
Speaking of WWHL, I don't think Lisa should be invited on any more. She is a TERRIBLE guest! Andy kept on asking her questions about what she was thinking during various scenes from last night's show, and she'd just recap what we'd all seen in the show. She'd say things like "Well when we were trying to figure out what was happening, Heather got off the bus to talk to everyone" ... yes, Lisa, we saw that. Between that and her fake laughter throughout, I think she's entirely too image aware to show any sort of genuine response to anything.

acookertv. Thanks for the input and view about WWHL. I don’t like WWHL and wondered if last night’s episode she’d any light on the events. It was interesting that “shah-mazing” Jen Shaw came up with the story about her husband being in the hospital with internal bleeding. Such a great lie for a quick get away and blaming her husband! Homeland Security looked a little dim in the filming. If they were following or staking out Jen, wouldn’t they have noticed her taking off? I wonder how much the rest of the RHs knew when the police and feds showed up. I wonder if there were rumors about possible illegal business practices. Jens over the top shows of wealth were one good indication.

I don't think they were staking out or following Jen. I think they'd been told that she'd be there at that time, so they were going where they believed she'd be to arrest her. I've read that one of the storylines that will come out of this is some questions as to whether or not one of the other housewives tipped them off as to where they'd be filming. I know for filming a movie permits have to be pulled when filming in a public location. I have no idea whether or not that's required when filming a bus loading for a reality show, but if it is, that's another way they would have expected her to be there.
Based on the reactions they gave, I don't think the other women knew enough to be expecting it. They even made comments about wondering if it was a prank. I think if there had been strong enough rumors that people thought the feds were on her tail, they would have wondered if this is why Jen left rather than wondering if it was a prank or if they were strippers!
I do think it was a low move to make up a story about Sheriff's health. I don't think it's wise to put thoughts like that out into the universe - and it also left the women worrying about him. She's not a very smart alleged criminal!

Mary is scary! I don't understand her venom towards Whitney AT ALL. She didn't pick up her phone for the invite? So she sends her different attire to wear and because Whit was smart and didn't wear it she loses her sh*t on her? I think Mary is great TV but that chick is wacky! I enjoy hearing about Heather and her families departure from the Mormon Church. It brings another side to the show than the glitz and glam of Housewives that we are use to seeing. Who is this Stuart guy anyway? I haven't done any research on Jen Shah or her legal issues really. But he has got to be up to his elbows in all this. Is she having an affair with him...like what gives? She seems oddly close to him. The scene in the bus was intriguing and hilarious all the same time. I just kept looking at Whitney who kept thinking they were strippers And then Lisa who immediately went into "we don't know anything" mode. I have to admit the FBI did look a little scattered.  |

If Mary gets that upset with Whitney, how must she be with her congregation.? She makes for good reality tv though, and I think she has ocd.
Stuart and Jen, are more like husband and wife, than Jen and Coach.Jen lies well.
I love Heather,she's below Jeffrey Dahmer, in her church. How ludicrous, but very interesting.
Lisa is a phoney, trying to be the queen. I don't think much of Meredith either, although she's better this season. I wonder who tipped off the FBI. Whitney was totally convinced it was Jen Shah setting them up. I bet some scenes were edited

I can't stand when people do invitations for an event like a cooking class and want to dictate what people wear, how they behave, etc. You're hosting - that means you figure out how to accommodate your guests, not the other way around! Mary just has an odd outlook on people - Whitney may not have been off-base in saying she's got a God-complex. She seems to want to control everything about the people she encounters.
I get the impression that Jen employees people to be her yes people. In order to get a paycheck from her, you cannot challenge her. I find Sheriff to be such a good man that I cannot figure out how he puts up with it - maybe he knows she gets all the affirmation she can from her squad so he doesn't have to feed into it and can be her truth teller? I suspect she must have changed A LOT over the years, because I cannot fathom how he would have been attracted to her as we see her now.
