Who is this Stuart guy anyway? I haven't done any research on Jen Shah or her legal issues really. But he has got to be up to his elbows in all this. Is she having an affair with him...like what gives? She seems oddly close to him. From what I understand Stuart is Jen's #1 assistant (and apparently partner in crime if the allegations are true). Mostly, he seems to be her chief ego-stroker. :eyeroll

Sorry, my bad I kind of meant that question to be rhetorical . I know he is her assistant but like where did he come from? What's his story?

What is up with Mary? She is so angry....and at Whitney? Doesn't make sense.
Ugh, typical Bravo to use the last few minutes to keep us in suspense till next Sunday! And to say it was related to your husband and his health? So low.

Tonight is the night we see more of what went down, or not.
Scamming seniors is about as low as you can go.

I have to admit, I was glued to my TV screen. Watching them get the news in "real time" with everything going down was intriguing. The shots of Jen's security cameras were a bit hard to watch as we saw her son and I think Shareef (?) exit the home. I laughed out loud at Whitney's sugar daddy comment Funny how Lisa thinks Whitney seems to know so much but barely questions Meredith's non-reaction to it all. "Yah, I think I did know her but none of you believed me." Lisa and all her attorney's It was fascinating to hear about all the stories they were telling around the dinner table. From the stolen purse to the uber she ditched to Lisa knowing a LOT more than everyone else! This franchise just went from boring to a must see!

Interesting. On WWHL both Heather and Michael Rapaport think that it was Coach Shah who called Jen and told her the cops were on the way.

Meredith in the bath, just laying there, spilling all the tea. It was too funny..I loved it, oh, and the stolen purse! We got to see the footage.. Lisa called 6 lawyers, EJ would have had a coronary.. Lisa bursting into phoney tears, oh please. I believe Heather was really upset, but of course Shah is not guilty..

I love these quotes from Heather on WWHL because I think it not only rings true to this franchise but also BH. The question was: "If the charges against Jen are true, how can you stand by someone who defrauded people? Doesn't that say something about her character?" Heather "Listen, absolutely and I think it's horrible the things she's accused of but I also think it's horrible to kick a friend when their down." Next question: "Heather, Erika is under scrutiny for potentially having some knowledge of her husband's doing. Do you think Shareef had any knowledge of Jen's doings and why are these two spouse being held to two different standards." Heather: "Because we hate women in America." And yes...Lisa and Sutton should hang out.

I do see one significant difference between Lisa and Sutton. Lisa appeared to be calling her lawyers to see if they could get information on what was happening to Jen so they could understand it. Sutton called her lawyers to figure out if she had any liability being friends with Erika. For Lisa, calling her lawyers was like Sutton reading the LA Times article word for word.
I loved that WWHL brought up the hypocrisy of not questioning Coach's culpability. It was absolutely true and I'm glad they admitted it.
I don't think it was Coach that tipped Jen off. I think it was more likely someone from her squad - perhaps because they'd already come for Stu? I think that Coach would know about it only if they'd come to the house first to get Jen. But if the time stamps are accurate, they served the search warrant on her house AFTER apprehending her. (they said on WWHL that the two people the security footage showed being escorted out were her son and nephew)
It was also interesting to see Jennie's reaction being someone who is not fully a part of the group or close to Jen. It seemed like she really didn't know what to do. Mary's reaction felt very forced too. Like she was hyper aware that she was in front of cameras and had to perform. But it seemed like she was having feelings more like Meredith - where she was kind of excited that something like this was happening to someone she disliked. At least Meredith was sincere in her not caring.

Long before any of this came out I found Shaw to be personally repugnant, narcissistic and histrionic so have no sympathy for her. Defrauding vulnerable people ("marks" to her and Smith) just sinks her even further in my estimation. I hope they can put her "away" for a long time.
But yeah, it was a humdinger of an episode!!! LOL

So what Jen is telling us is that Meredith tried to take the high road and not air dirty laundry on the show. Once it became not the worst thing Jen had done, she chose to share it. She's spending a lot of time questioning why she didn't share it before and not much time explaining how the video existed if it is for reasons other than what Meredith is saying.

Exactly. Typical Shah trying to deflect from the topic at hand. Narcissistic behavior, IMO.

On the after show, Jen had a big explanation about Meredith's assistant accidentally putting the purse into the shopping bag and then blaming Jen's person for taking it. But the security footage clearly shows them walking out with it in their hand, so NOPE!

Jen has shown repeatedly she’ll lie to attempt to get out of trouble. She’d be wise to quit trying.

This reminds me of the college admissions scandal where there was the threat of long sentences, and then they ended up being relatively light. The sentences here are longer, but to go from a 70 year sentence to a 7 year sentence is a drastic cut. And who knows how long he will actually serve. I'm guessing nowhere near that long. Sigh!

But in this case dropping to seven years is likely because he’s cooperating which is bad news for Jen. I think press reports often do a disservice by reporting g on what the max senate me is rather than the average sentence for a given crime. It gets people’s hopes up only to then believe the justice system is letting everyone down.

It gets people’s hopes up only to then believe the justice system is letting everyone down. The article didn't say that he got seven years. It said that was what most of the other people involved had gotten who had similar charges and pled guilty. I don't think we can assume that this is for sure what he will get or that it's because he's cooperating.

I think I have to give Meredith credit for the way she reacted to Jen's arrest. When she made the decision that it was the final straw and she was closing the door on any friendship with Jen, she kept the focus on her and Jen. She told the other women that if they were including Jen, not to include her. She did not demand the other women take her side. She understood the boundary was for her, and that all the other women could make their own decisions.

I think Heather is pretty naive. Her mormon background might be a factor. Lisa keeps dropping hints about what she knows , but never really says anything. Mary sure is a buzzkill, good lord, and yet Meredith seems to put up with her, and defend her.
I love Vail, Heather and Whitney sure have fun!

I'm not sure how much Heather is naïve, and how much she is just choosing kindness over judgement. There are people out there who will believe the best in people until they are given firm evidence to show they should not. I think Heather is genuinely one of those people.
