How awful! Just horrifying. Strangely enough, I was reading his IMDb page just a few days ago (don’t even remember why). While 91 is considered a long life, that’s a terrible way to go. His poor wife Here’s an article without any pics of the accident. Hopefully they won’t update to add any. abc7.com/5912587/Do you watch "Grace and Frankie" on Netflix? He was on an episode this past season. I think I looked him up, too. RIP, Orson.

I remember him for as far back as I can remember.

I have a friend who lives out that way and knows the area. She said the people drive like idiots out there. Always on the cell phones, not paying attention. For all accounts he was a nice man and deserved better.

OMGosh, ORSON BEAN. How horribly sad. Hit by multiple cars. His wife Ally Mills has been on The Bold and the Beautiful for at least the last 15 years. REST IN PEACE ORSON BEAN.

I hadn't realized Orson was married to Alley Mills. I remember him mostly from his appearances on 1960s game shows and then later on Desperate Housewives. 91 is a ripe old age but it seems as if he had a few years left in him, if not for the tragic accident. May he rest peacefully.

One of the reports I read said that Alley was with him when he was killed. I can't even imagine the horror. I think when you marry a man who's significantly older, you assume you'll outlive him, but this is heartbreaking. From all accounts, he was still healthy and vigorous.
ETA: TMZ posted this vid of Orson on The Tonight Show years ago. He was quite the charmer:

RIP to Katherine Johnson, she was 101. The movie Hidden Figures was based on her life.

People are disgusting. Why would ANYONE want to see those photos? I certainly hope any deputies that took pictures of the crash and any remains are quickly fired and never able to find a job in law enforcement ever again. Scumbags. abc7.com/5976760/

Scumbags. abc7.com/5976760/I heard about this today and it made me so angry. Apparently one of the oxygen-thief cops was showing the pics to his date in a bar "to impress her." No word on how she responded but the bartender was disgusted and reported it. Good for him being a decent human being.

I really enjoyed his show, everyone seemed a little more down to earth, and he really did his homework before an interview. Rip, Mr Lipton.

His family released the fact that he committed suicide today. They said that they wanted his cause of death to be public to shed light and awareness on mental illness and depression. Apparently he suffered from bipolar disorder and depression for quite some time, poor man. I hope he is at peace now.
