So sad to read that Charles Gordon has passed away. OMG I loved him in HEARTBREAK KID. The 1972 version was FABULOUS. Charles and Cybill S and Jeannie Berlin.........omg! I would LOVE to be able to see that again. REST IN PEACE, CHARLES.

So sad to read that Charles Gordon has passed away. I had to look this one up.. Charles Grodin made a bit more sense to me when I figured it out.
He was in some of my favorite movies back in the day. He had such a long and varied career my goodness movies, TV, Broadway, behind the camera... big loss to the industry

Oh dear. I didn’t notice that my dumb phone’s spellcheck had changed his name.

Oh dear. I didn’t notice that my dumb phone’s spellcheck had changed his name. I figured that was what had happened. Spellcheckers can be rather tyrannical at times. LOL I really liked Charles Grodin! He was so good at doing that wry, quirky, deadpan humor that he did like no one else could.

Ya, no worries Critical , like MissGriss I knew what you meant. That was exactly it, his deadpan humor. What an actor. Yes he will certainly be missed.

I saw his photo and smiled. I didn't realize he was in his late 80s. RIP

F. Lee Bailey has died at 87. OJ Simpson called him "the greatest lawyer of all time."
Well, he did get a double murderer acquitted.

F. Lee Bailey has died at 87. OJ Simpson called him "the greatest lawyer of all time." Well, he did get a double murderer acquitted. That's so strange. I don't remember him from the OJ trial. When I heard it announced on the radio, and they were listing some of his clients, I drew a complete blank on that one. He was sure a character! He's the first famous hot-shot lawyer I remember being aware of. He was involved in a lot of wild cases. I didn't realize that he'd ended up getting disbarred. Quite a wild ride he had.

I am legitimately upset by this news. I heard that Clarence Williams III (Mod Squad, Tales From the Hood, Half-Baked) died yesterday. I've loved him in everything he's been in and in his later films managed to mix seriousness and camp perfectly. I'm going to watch "Half-Baked" in his honor today and pour one out for him.

As soon as I read the news, without seeing a photo, the image of him in Mod Squad attire jumped into my head. RIP Mr. Williams.

I thought about him grabbing the guy who was later on Scandal around the neck while screaming "That's right; CUBAN beings!" in Half-Baked.

TMZ is reporting that Ned Beatty has passed away at the age of 83 Honestly, I was surprised to hear that he was only 83. I thought he was a good deal older than that. No cause of death, but a statement that is wasn't Covid-related, which seems to be what PR people are doing now. I'm not sure why that's a thing they need to clarify.

Frank Bonner, who played Herb on WKRP In Cincinnati, has died. RIP, sir, and thanks for the laughs! www.nytimes.com/2021/06/18/arts/television/frank-bonner-dead.htmlNice quote from Loni Anderson: Loni Anderson, who played Jennifer Marlowe, the station’s super-efficient receptionist — and the frequent object of Herb’s heavy-handed flirting — said in a statement that Mr. Bonner was “one of the funniest men I had the pleasure of working with” and “the nicest man I have ever known.”

How sad and how loving and supportive of him to put her career first! I remember enjoying him as JD on Designing Women.

I had such a crush on Richard Gilliland when he was on Designing Women! He was adorable. I was sort of tickled when he and Jean became a couple and got married. They seemed like a really great pair. I was so sad when the news of his passing broke. I can't even imagine what it took for her to finish filming Hacks in the middle of her grief.

This is a sad one for All My Children fans. Ray MacDonnell, who played patriarch Joe Martin for 40 years has died. He was the heart of that show
