Would her organs be viable if she was on cocaine and fentanyl? I think the bigger problem is the fire/smoke. I'd guess that her lungs were destroyed. After being in the smoke and fire for that long, I can't imagine what organs would be healthy enough for donation. Then, yeah, the drugs on top of that.
There have been multiple announcements about her death from family and maybe her management (I can't remember). Even if they were keeping her body alive to see if any organs could be donated, she was pronounced brain dead.

One of the best parts of Beverly Hills, 90210, Nat, Joe E Tata passed away on the 24th. He was such a constant on the show, always such a positive attitude. I know he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a few years back but no cause of death was confirmed in the Times article. He was 85. www.nytimes.com/2022/08/26/arts/television/joe-tata-dead.html

Mable John has departed us at the age of 91. She was the very first female artist to record for the Motown label. She also recorded for Stax in Memphis & was a long time member of Ray Charles backing vocalist group, The Raelettes. She was also the older sister of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame member, vocalist Little Willie John. And the heavenly choir gains another member from the early days of Rock & Roll.

I was truly sad to hear about this... Louise Fletcher, the Cruel Nurse Ratched in ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ Dies at 88 - THRI was sad because I'm a Star Trek geek and Deep Space Nine was my favorite show, but I have another favorite Louise Fletcher performance, and it's been my own little secret for years, a film that won't get mentioned in any of the obits. In 2000, she appeared in a small indie film called Big Eden. It's basically Northern Exposure meets Lake Wobegon, but with a gay romance at the center of it. Louise plays a loving, caring family friend to the main character, aptly named Grace. In the film she is quiet, funny, and even gets to sing. It's a sweet, gentle movie with an unlikely romantic coupling. It's available to stream on Amazon Prime, and also available for free (with ads) on The Roku Channel.

So incredibly sad. He also had asthma as well. "Gangster Paradise" is just one of those sweeping, epic songs I always listen to when it comes on the radio. I'm so sad he's gone.

Thanks for sharing your story, Critical ! One of my daughter's friend was about the same age when she insisted she would name her first child Coolio if he was a boy. She has two boys now but forgot all about it by the time she had them. I gently tease her about it to this day!

I knew this time was coming but I didn't want to think about it. Loretta Lynn has passed away at 90. I adored her most of my remembered life. I saw Coal Miner's Daughter a zillion times, I still have her records! I knew most of the lyrics by the time I was a teenager. I'm heartbroken. She was my favorite female singer of all time. She also had a lot of sass! www.yahoo.com/entertainment/loretta-lynn-coal-miners-daughter-142352514.html
