I was shocked to see that. Of coursd, I did not know of her battle with cancer of the brain and lungs ten years ago. Glad she got the time after that....but this was complications from diabetes.

She's been reunited now with her brother, and Carrie Fisher. Oh the laughter heaven is being treated to today.

Forgive me, but I thought she was older - not just three years ahead of me. RIP Penny - you brought such joy through your character LaVerne and the many terrific movies you directed.

Yes, this one really hurts! Penny gave us so much joy over the years. She was sooooo talented! And such a great 'person'! She will really be missed.

Ray Sawyer passed today. He was 81. He was the lead singer of Dr. Hook , the guy with the eye patch.

AZ - our generation is falling by the wayside. This is the second person 74-76 yrs of age who has passed recently. They would have been the lordly seniors to our geeky high school Freshman selves.

I didn't know his "Super Dave Osborne" persona but he was wonderful as Larry's friend, Marty Funkhauser, on Curb Your Enthusiasm. I had NO idea, however, that he was Albert Brooks' older brother. May he RIP.

For those of you who are fans of the poet Mary Oliver, it seems she has died. I haven't read an article about it yet, but it was all over my Instagram feed, and friends say they have verified it.
She painted some beautiful pictures with her words! Sending her on her way with gratitude and love.

Multi Grammy Winning R&B vocalist James Ingram died yesterday. He was also a song writer & co wrote P.Y.T with Michael Jackson. And the heavenly choir gains another voice. He is Somewhere Out There singing his butt off!

James Ingram provided so much of the soundtrack of the teenage angst of my growing up years. He had such a great voice and really made you feel what he was singing.

Kristoff St. John, who has played Neil Winters on the Young & the Restless since 1991, has died at the age of 52. 😢 He lost his son to suicide a few years ago. No cause of death yet but they are saying it looks to be alcohol-related and may be a possible suicide. He was such an integral part of the show. May he rest in peace.

Very sad. My memories of him go back further than Y&R from back when he was on Charlie and Company with Flip Wilson and Gladys Knight. I had such a crush on him back then!

Albert Finney! 😢 “Put it in your pocket, Mrs. Mudge.” (Annie) I don’t know why, but that line breaks my heart every time.
