COMPLETE BORE. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WATCHING THIS SHOW. Hubby and I deleted it not even halfway through. Kendra has NO clue what she is doing attempting to sell million dollar homes in Hollywood. Even though we were watching S1 E1 it feels like we were watching in the middle of the Series. To me the episode wasn't boring, but it was totally cringeworthy! BUT I say that only because several years ago when this show was first filmed, Kendra was brand new in real estate, and she really was a clueless ditz! But, amazingly she apparently learned what she had to learn to become a successful real estate agent! Now she's working for one of the very top agencies in Beverly Hills and according to them, she currently has 18 listings ranging up to over $38 Million Dollars! If they're trusting her with houses in that price range, she must be doing something right! www.elliman.com/california/associate/512-a-df21021802135265642/kendra-wilkinson

I mean SHE passed that test? The first scene with the 3 Agents helping her and giving her tips on how to show/sell homes had me scratching my head as she appeared to seem confused and overwhelmed. Was I watching an episode from years ago and she has gotten MUCH BETTER if it appears she has all those listings? I did see the epi stated she was with D.E. Associates. That right there had me MORE CONFUSED.....really KENDRA????? The whole scene with Spencer where Kendra is complaining of being hungover and she needs to throw up ....... whatttttt? The scene with that lady LISA who she meets for lunch and not only does Kendra appear clueless talking to her but while eating her salad all the lettuce hanging out of her mouth ....... whattttt? Just seems so UNprofessional to me. I will stick to Bravo's Million Dollar Listing.

I have been watching Lux for Less.
Like the 2 males and 2 females composition of the team. All seem equal partners. Well poor Andre seems a tad overshadowed by the others.
While Michel and Andre come across as equal partners on Rock The Block it does not seem that way on Lux for Less; Michel is the star of the show.
Michel is a good story teller, a good narrator, and does communicate well and does a great job describing the design concept for the episode and it's evolution to the finished product.

I guess she's worked hard, learned a lot, and is more professional now. Here's her Douglas Elliman website. www.elliman.com/california/associate/512-a-df21021802135265642/kendra-wilkinson

Discover+ has this thing where when you finish watching something it will start with a new random show. Sometimes it's annoying, while at other times you can view some gems; a few days ago I watched a show called "I Bought a Dump, Now What" that was really enjoyable. This show follows 3 people who bought dilapidated old homes with great bones throughout 4 episodes. Featured homeowners include a couple who spent their life savings to buy an abandoned 1860s farmhouse in Richmond, Michigan; a father/daughter team in Detroit who need to finish a fixer-upper in just 90 days; and a young couple in Birmingham, Alabama, who face expensive setbacks as they renovate a century-old home. I liked it because the houses were "reasonably" big (ie: no 6500 sq ft monstrosities) and these were actually "forever" homes so they put a decent amount of money and care into them for renovations. Definitely recommend it if you like shows like "Good Bones" and "Windy City Rehab."

Heather just keeps sticking her foot in it. Recently she shared a picture of her 3 month old son and herself on a private plane to see Tarek speak at a conference and people are apparently up in arms about it? Apparently all of the things she talked about on the post (breastfeeding during takeoff and landing, the fact she was on a private jet to begin with) was proof she is "tone deaf?" While there's perks to flying private vs commercial I have to admit a lot of it sounds like sour grapes because if you're traveling with a 3 month old and you have it like that why not fly private? You have a lot more privacy with your child and people aren't annoyed by a crying infant in first class! Heather can be messy but I think at this point people are following her Instagram just to nitpick, and I'm beginning to feel a little bit sorry for her. Couldn't be me! people.com/travel/heather-el-moussas-followers-call-her-tone-deaf-for-taking-son-tristan-on-private-jet/

Tarek CHANGED 100% when he had that SAD yet CRAZY SCARY situation here in the OC .... I believe it was in Yorba Linda (?) and he went running into the woods behind their home and I believe he had a gun with him. I think he had threatened Christina. She was leaving him. He could not take it. people.com/celebrity/tarek-christina-el-moussa-flip-flop-stars-split-alarming-gun-incident-details/They then took a long much needed break from the show and when Flip and Flop came back Tarek had the WORST attitude. Constantly making snide remarks to Christina. The viewing audience SAW IT IMMEDIATELY. I tried watching but he was so pathetic. Like HE was so high and mighty. AND even worse when he had the new GF join him. Of course he got slammed for dating and marrying a Christina look alike. Tarek is a jerk. JMHO. NO THANKS TO ANYTHING HE DOES VIA HGTV.

All these things are true but why perch on someone's Instagram just to say terrible things about them? I think a lot of people either don't understand or don't care that there's someone on the other side of the computer and it's cruelty; the constant comparisons to Christina, nitpicking everything she does...quite frankly, some people seriously need to go outside and touch grass! IMO if you have it like that flying private with young children is the way to go, plus I guarantee if she did fly commercial she would have gotten a lot of snide comments about having a baby in first class disrupting people (and this is regardless of the baby sleeping practically through the flight). Honestly, people pick on this woman in a way that they never do for Tarek and it's awful.

I can't say I'm a fan of Heather nor of Tarek, but who cares if she takes a private jet? They can spend their money however they like. People need to stay out of other people's pockets...damn.

It annoys the heck out of me the way Tarek throws out how rich and successful he is in the opening sequences of Flipping 101 and all the other shows he is on. However much of a jealous (of Christina), spiteful jerk Tarek is, he can spend his power however he wants and if that means having Clone Two and baby take a private jet, so be it. Seriously, if I could afford to travel in a private jet I would.

Anyone watching anything interesting on HGTV lately? YES! I've watched shows like House Hunters for years, but I never tried the construction and design shows. Now I've discovered some series (old and new) that I really LOVE, like Farmhouse Fixer (Jon Knight) Houses with History, and Home Town Takeover!

Windy City Rehab is coming back May 23rd, even though I'm not a huge Alison fan it's a good show. Miles better than The Flipping El Moussas.

The only thing new I'm watching is Hometown Takeover. I'm looking at things in the Discover+ back catalogue because nothing is really catching my eye, plus I'm tired of white kitchens. Sadly, a lot of people on these shows have the same bland aesthetic. I've practically given up on Property Brothers Forever Home and I think the twins are getting bored too because each episode goes a little bit like this:
Client: I want everything white and clean!
Jonathan: Wouldn't you like some color to add some personality?
Client: I want an all white kitchen and subway tile! Maybe some blue in the living room?
*sigh*

Good luck selling in this market, that's for sure. I read an article this morning in the NYT that said a lot of people who were thinking about moving are staying put and not putting their house on the market because they don't want to pay the higher interest rates for a new one. They did say that because there's less inventory on the market houses are going into bidding wars but I'm not sure if that's for the luxury housing market.

Bryan and Sarah's house is over $23,000 a month with a 30 yr. fixed loan at 7% and $828K due at closing. I could never. Homes considered luxury in this area are just sitting on the market.

It's the same in Chicago and NYC. Ivana Trump's townhouse still hasn't sold despite huge price cuts, and there's luxury buildings there that are only half-filled. There are so many condos on upper floors with marvelous views and marble in the kitchen and bath on the market in NYC because despite what some HGTV shows might have you think "cookie cutter" housing is not attractive to most people. Better to buy a marvelous old townhome in the West Village or something; it will have personality and you'll pay a lot less!

I still get the HGTV magazine every month, and it cracks me up that it's always full of insanely colorful houses. Not a grayscale home in sight. But when you watch HGTV, that's the majority of what they show. Makes no sense.

Luv how the winner's house; Michel and Anthony's, which had the highest appraisal is on sale for the lowest price of the four homes. Bryan and Sarah's house is on sale for the highest price, second is Page and Mitch, third is Jonathan and Kristina's.

Here's a very nice article about Alison from Windy City Rehab in People magazine. I think everyone goes through a "should I even be doing this?" moment in their career and the last few years have been very hard for her. I also noticed that the new season is going to have her in Paris, LA, and Las Vegas and I'm not sure if it's because she wanted a palate cleaner or if she lost her license in Chicago. people.com/home/alison-victoria-says-new-season-of-windy-city-rehab-is-a-fresh-start-after-dramatic-split-from-costar-exclusive/It's very interesting to note that the City of Chicago suspended Donovan's licenses, which might be why he's still trying to sue everyone involved.

Donovan filed two lawsuits for defamation against HGTV and Alison. The first one was kicked out as it needed to be filed in California not Chicago. The second lawsuit Donovan could not prove his case. I watched the first episode of the season. It was good and I also read the above article. Alison is married and has a son. But you never see any of that mentioned in her tv series, her Instagram or Facebook or any articles about her. It is always about Alison. You can just take off to Paris and go antique shopping and visit friends and not one phone call to family. For a show that just loves to show the kiddies and hubbie Alison's are always absent. As for the episode. If I am spending $350,000 to rebuild my home I will know what is going on every step of the way. No way no how is Alison keeping me in the dark. The episode does leave the question begging, "Are there any good contractors in the the City of Chicago?"

I'm not going to fault her for this because except for the occasional comment or anniversary or birthday greeting you would swear I was single and childless online. I don't post pictures of myself or family members because The Internet doesn't need that information, plus when The Spawn was in his teens he politely asked that I NOT post pictures of him online and I had no problem with that. Some people are just naturally more private and keep their work life and home life separate, plus some parents opt to not post about their children on SM. So many HGTV stars use their families as part of their branding, it's refreshing when someone does not and considering how horrible and intrusive people can be on SM I can't say I blame her for wanting to protect her energy and family. I still remember the horrible comments people made about Erin and Ben's oldest daughter, and she's like 3 or something? Also, her husband may have objections as well; not everyone wants to be on TV.
"Are there any good contractors in the the City of Chicago?" That's a question I ask myself, but the good ones tend to be booked and busy. Let's just say people like Donovan...are very common in that line of business here. You really have to be careful.
