Midnight Texas is back - shocker that show sucked. Season 2 does not need to be sexier and raunchier than season 1 it just desperately needs good writing and acting.
Looking forward to Manifest and the Rookie. Nothing else really popped out except maybe the Charmed reboot. Nathan Fillon looks as if he lose a ton of weight from the last season of Castle to being the oldest rookie in the Police Academy.
Can I really do another How to Get Away with Murder? It is exhausting.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Manifest (another Lost or The 400 type of show) and The Rookie.
I stopped watching Midnight Texas after the third episode because it was already too raunchy for me....they are adding more sleeze? yikes.
I noticed not many NEW shows most are returning series.

That’s disappointing to hear about Midnight, TX. The books are interesting, and it was fun to see the story on screen. Don’t need raunch & sleaze to improve series. I too am looking forward to Manifest!

I'm surprised at the reaction to Midnight, Texas. I enjoy it and am looking forward to season 2. I don't think it's raunchy OR sleazy - sexy and racy? Absolutely, and that's Charlaine Harris' style. Ever watch True Blood or read the books? The show did take a few episodes to get its feet under it, but I stuck with it ended up really liking it in the end.

I'm just so darned sick of those morbid commercials for that depressing looking new show about the guy who kills himself. Beginning with that stupid plunky-plunky guitar music & depressing sounding whispery singing in the intro. I can't rush to my remote quick enough, to mute it. The commercial shows constantly. They're promoting the heck out of that dreck.
No way will I give that show the time of day for one moment. Some things just aren't topics for TV entertainment. This is one of them.

I'm looking forward to A Million Little Things. Most of the stuff on network TV now is crap, so I'll always give new dramas a chance, particularly ones that are just about regular people (vs. superheroes or vampires). Why shouldn't suicide and depression be a subject on a TV drama? Those are issues that have affected many people. Dramas should delve into the human condition and that's part of it. If it's handled in the right way, they should absolutely deal with those issues.
I love Nathan Fillion, but the old man jokes in the previews for his new show are already wearing thin. If that's going to be the running joke, I'll be tapping out on that one. That feels like lazy, uninventive writing to me, just like fat jokes on Mike and Molly. They're fat. We get it. Enough.

Haven't been impressed with any, just planning on watching Manifest and The Rookie. The mid season replacements seem better. Thankfully I have my Netflix queue.

Wednesday: Survivor, Big Brother Finale next week only, Guys Grocery Games (though sometimes I delete this) Thursday: The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and Beat Bobby Flay. Friday: BattleBots, The Cool Kids, Hell's Kitchen, My Lottery Dream Home Saturday - CLEAR!! Sunday: CBS Sunday Morning, God Friended Me, Halloween Wars, NCIS Los Angeles

According to my onscreen guide, New Amsterdam and Manifest will be repeated on Friday, so I'm not going to DVR them Monday and Tuesday. Hate that there's so much I want to watch on Mondays but can only DVR two and have to be watching one of them.

I haven't been that excite about the previous reboots of 80's sitcoms, but I'm REALLY excited about Murphy Brown. Considering the political climate, I think it's the perfect time to hear from Murphy and the gang.
There really aren't very many new series I'm eager to see. So far, it's A Million Little Things, New Amsterdam, Manifest, Single Parents and Camping on HBO (solely for David Tennant). Others I'll probably check out are Legacies and The Rookie, but I don't have high hopes. The "old guy" jokes on the commercials for The Rookie are already wearing thin.
I already watched the first episode and a half of I Feel Bad and, yeah, I did too after watching. Just "meh." Also, a stupid name for a show. Plus, I didn't think the lead was terribly likeable.....I mean the character. I'm sure the actress is perfectly likeable IRL.

I never cared for Murphy Brown the first time around, so that's not on our list. A million little things, that looks like a copy of this is us, so I left that off( maybe I'll regret that) I doubt we'll watch The Connors..so there is still room on our pvr..lol

Critical, ME TOO!!! I am so excited for "Murphy Brown"!!! CBS Sunday Morning did a story on the show's return yesterday morning and it was so much fun to watch. I found it online. Have a look, it's AWESOME! Appears Newswoman, MB will be tackling the "fake news" nonsense on her show!!! The return of "Murphy Brown"www.cbsnews.com/news/the-return-of-murphy-brown-candice-bergen-diane-english/

Did anyone watch Manifest tonight? I didn't and was just curious, because the premise seems like a complete copycat of Lost.

Did anyone watch Manifest tonight? I didn't and was just curious, because the premise seems like a complete copycat of Lost. Watched. Loved. I never even watched Lost, but still got a Lost-ish feel from this show. But then again it is very different, because the time they were away was only like the first 5 minutes of the show. There were a few tears n my end. Not This is Us tears, but a few. I like the story, I don't know if the acting is so great though

Thank goodness for my DVR. I forgot all about DWTS, but it's taped so I'll get to it. I forgot all about Manifest, but it's taped so I'll get to it. I'm usually not one for trying new shows when they first premiere. I'm more of the "I'll wait until it's entering its second or third season before I start watching" kind of guy. That's about the time I started watching How To Get Away With Murder. I just recently started watching Designated Survivor and that's been around for awhile. So anyway, I decided to "live life in the fast lane" like the rest of ya 'all and watch a couple of the new shows right from the start. If they don't grab me, no big loss. I decided to try ... Manifest A Million Little Things God Friended Me The Conners ...and I can't remember what else.

Last night I watched Magnum PI. I liked it. The new Magnum is a good choice, as are the other characters. He's handsome, charming, clever, & everything you'd want from Magnum.
They updated the show only slightly to make it relevant for today. They kept all that made the old show fun & interesting. So far, so good.
Next I watched Manifest. I liked that one even more. Intriguing plot & so far likable characters. The feel is kind of like Lost, but the story is totally different. They're back in regular society after what to them was a short flight, kind of like...…"a 3 hour tour", but in reality 5 years had gone by. Now some freaky things are going on & they have no idea what it's all about. That's the part like Lost. They caught me on this one. That seldom happens. I hope it keeps up the interest.
I agree with FannyMare about I Feel Bad. Disappointing.
I'm also looking forward to Murphy Brown. I liked the original & want to see how she reacts to modern times. Should be good. Single Parents looks fun, but it conflicts with Murphy Brown. I don't want to get into recording hell, if at all possible, so I may skip this one. Looking forward to The Connors. I hope they can recapture the magic & thrive. Also looking forward to The Rookie, old jokes aside. I may give Charmed a try on CW, providing it doesn't conflict with anything.
Tonight This is Us returns. I so didn't want to like this show. The sappy emotional manipulation is off the charts, but against my wishes, I really liked the show. Good & surprising storytelling. I'm looking forward to it's return. Riverdale returns Wed, 10/10. Another one that hooked me.
