I know the ratings weren't great, but I'm seriously bummed that Bravo canceled Imposters. And just when they threw in that great twist!

Really disappointed about Code Black. I didn't love Rob Lowe on the show, but I'll miss Luis Guzman and Marcia Gay Harden = I love Mama and Daddy! I'm disappointed too. Here's where we differ ... slightly: I like Rob Lowe on this show, but I've never really been a fan of his work. I felt like "meh" when they added him but I have really grown to like his character. I liked the series he did with his sons, cheesy as it was so I guess he isn't so bad after all. And yes to missing Momma and Daddy. And no to missing the douche with the camera.

The final two episodes of The Crossing were on tonight (Saturday). I'm recording and will watch tomorrow. I wonder how they'll close out the series after one season?

Instead of at 7 or 8 Central, they showed it at ll30 where I am, so I recorded it. I have to watch it when I have a block of time. I did read a review that said they wrapped it up fairly well, but left a little room.... I am looking forward to watching it. From the sites I have been to, the fans responding are disappointed that ABC did not give it a chance to develop. That was concern #1; concern #2 was that so many shows that aren't medical or detective shows? The fans just begin to get interested, and suddenly they are jerked out from under them. They are getting tired of it. That concern was voiced loud and clear...

So fans want shows that are medical and detective and don't like those that are not medical or detective?????

I read it as shows that are not medical or detective don't get much of a chance and they get yanked. I could be reading it from my bias. I think there are too many medical and detective shows out there.

Yes, I am sorry that I was not more clear. The shows that are not medical or detective seem to get cancelled without much of a chance. Fans either feel they don't have a chance to develop or find it frustrating/irksome to get interested only to find they are going to be cancelled.

I personally feel that there are WAAAAAAAy TOO MANY medical and detective shows out there to the point it is SO BOOOOORING. That is why I escaped to cable and reality TV. I want something a little bit different. Like Lucifer and iZombie although both could be described as detective shows they have an underlying story that has nothing to do with a police procedural.

I tried The Crossing for about 3-4 weeks. I wanted to like it, but I just didn't. I agree about the glut of Medical/Detective/Police shows. That & the young-pretty-people-having-sex shows. Although that seems to be in Medical/Detective/Police shows too. What ever happened to good storytelling & good characters?

What ever happened to good storytelling & good characters? 3 or 4 of us went back and forth for a few weeks on The Crossing until we thought we got a pretty good foothold on what was happening. It was a bit difficult to establish exactly how the background of the camp people tied into the head of the Homeland Security people. Once we did that, the rest of the show was no where near as confusing. The last 2 episodes were very good. They tied up many loose ends, but they did leave some wriggle room in case somebody decided somehow to pick up this show for another season.

I watch it occasionally whenever my husband has it on; what I have noticed is that it is just not as funny overall as it once was. Also, they are quite stuck on gags where the humor is dependent on the victim eventually ending up in pain. That slapstick humor works for me in the movies or with the 3 Stooges which I know is stunt produced; I would rather see the animals or the kids who are simply naturally funny.

There are definitely a lot of cop and medical show out there. There are also a lot of GOOD ones. They tend to do well in the ratings because it's a familiar formula. I find there are FAR too many supernatural/superhero shows and many of them are terrible and convoluted. Oh, and post-apocalytipc stuff too. Enough already.
I long for the days of Zwick and Herskovitz and the original drama series that was just about REGULAR PEOPLE. What I wouldn't give for a new thirtysomething-esque series with straightforward storyline, no gimmicks (yes, This is Us, I'm looking at you!), a great cast and great writing.

It's definitely canceled. They made the announcement about a month ago. The show definitely doesn't have the crazy loyal fanbase to rally and petition for it to be saved, like some other shows have.
Every time I see a new post in this thread, I worry that Timeless has been cancelled. I'll be thrilled if they save it, but the ratings haven't been great, so I won't be surprised if it gets cancelled.

NBC published their upcoming schedule for next year. Timeless was not on the schedule, but neither was there any mention of it being cancelled. You talk about your limbo situation, these folks are left flapping in the wind.

I know better than to get attached to any show. So many favorites are victims of the 1 season death. I'm still mourning that Wayward Pines didn't return for a 3rd Summer.

Can't say I saw it coming....they had left it hanging so long that there was hope, but then again, it wasn't out of the blue, either. I had invested 2 seasons into this one, what they let us see of the Crossing, and other than reality shows like the Bachelor/DWTS/SYTYCD and some of the house shows at times, I don't watch much entertainment TV. I watch the news programs and some educational things. I am so going to miss Timeless. Brightening......at some point ( who knows when, though) - Amazon Prime will show Season 3 of The Man in the High Castle, and my sister and I can binge watch it.

Finally caught the final two shows of The Crossing. Wow...wish they had another season as there are strings that definitely need finalizing. Especially with the doctor walking down the road as a newly minted Apex.

What I wouldn't give for a new thirtysomething-esque series with straightforward storyline, no gimmicks (yes, This is Us, I'm looking at you!), a great cast and great writing. For most of my life there have been no super hero or supernatural shows. It's funny when there are a couple of them on people think there are too many. It's basically Supernatural and the Originals as far as supernatural shows. That is two shows on all the networks. How is that too much? Originals is over, so there is now one supernatural show left and you think that is too much. As for superhero shows they are basically all on The CW. There is Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Black Lightning. Five superhero shows, one girl centric (yeah, young girls have a role model), and one with a African American superhero as it's lead character, again another role model. As for post apocalytpic you have The 100, so altogether 7 shows and you think that is too much? Seven shows versus practically every other show on air at this time which is either a police or medical procedural.
