YAY! I love that show so much. For a second there I was thinking, "Did I miss season 2?" Nope, it doesn't air until later this year. Whew. So I'm not losing my mind. They must have a lot of faith in the show to renew for a third season so far ahead of the second season.

I am upset that Deception has been canceled and Instinct has not. I would much rather have the former.

Agreed. I watched one episode of Instinct and, in spite of how much I love Alan Cumming, it didn't keep my interest. I went back in the last week to give it another try OnDemand and CBS only had episodes 5 and onward available. Oh well!
Deception wasn't ever going to win any Emmys or other critical acclaim, but it was kind of fun. Very similar in some ways to Limitless from a few seasons ago.

I saw that iZombie has been cancelled but I'm not sure if it's getting one more season or not. Either way - Grrrrrr.
Also hearing that The Brave has been cancelled which actually was my preferred "elite SEAL team does incredible things" show and oh how I will miss looking at Mike Vogel. Another Grrr.
The way things are looking, I won't be watching much next year. :mad
Most of my shows got the axe - Scorpion, Lucifer, iZombie, The Brave, Inhumans.

I added The Crossing to Timeless in my shows besides Idol, DWTS, and the Bachelor. They didn't even let The Crossing begin to develop well before they cancelled it, and I can't figure out what is going on with Timeless.
I was getting intrigued with The Crossing.
I think someone must like the way they left Timeless hanging; otherwise, they would have cancelled it by now if they were going to do so.

Looks like there are Timeless fans everywhere!
I am happy to see that Splitting Up Together was renewed. I'm not a big sitcom watcher, but I like Jenna Fisher and Oliver Hudson and the show really grew on me. Maybe it's not that I just don't like "filmed before a studio audience" sitcoms vs. half hour comedies. I like Life in Pieces too.

I saw a list of cancelled shows on Facebook and am glad to see Roseanne was renewed for another season and also This is Us (no surprise there). I didn't care about any of the others (cancelled or not), as I don't watch them. I also found out that FOX is picking up Last Man Standing starting in the fall. happy0065

The Chew has been cancelled in order to make room for another hour of GMA. I'll miss it even though I don't cook - Michael, Carla and Clinton can be so crazy.

A friend of ours is housebound, and she loved this show. I broke it to her very gently it was canceled, along with quite a few others she watched..I also loved Mama and Daddy.. I can't confirm this, I can't even say I understand this, but I am going to throw it out there for what it is worth. Maybe Razor can run it down further. He seems to have a much firmer grasp on these kinds of things than I.
So, I went to Youtube and did a search on Timeless. I just kept looking at headings until I saw something that looked like it might give me a clue as to what the hold up might be as to why they can't decide whether they are going to renew my show or not.
That was one fine last episode and a whale of a cliff hanger. I figured the way it was configured and not tied up in a little bundle that something might just possibly be in the talks way back in the background somewhere.
What this youtube segment was suggesting is if I understand it at all is that SONY is involved in picking up Season 3, and it has something to do with can they work out "picking up any of Sony's other shows?" (This is where I got totally lost. I don't really know anything about Sony to begin with, and I certainly don't know anything about their shows, but at least here is one possible explanation if we can make it sensible).

According to IMDB.com Sony is just one of five production companies involved in the show (another of the biggies is Universal) & one of four distribution companies...they handle Germany, NBC does the US.
Of course NBC & Universal are under the same big corporate umbrella (just like Disney/ABC & CBS/Viacom), so I would think that would hold more sway than anything. It is always nice to own your own product.
There just isn't any word yet one way or the other, but since it hasn't definitively been cancelled, don't start shoveling the dirt on it yet.
