I thought the season opener was a little long..but I enjoyed it it for the most part. I love Teddy finding out who was related to who..LOL I am liking Link! oh yes.. I'm very glad changed Jo and Karev are staying...  I would not be surprised if this wasn't the last season .. |

Yes! Link was on Nashville. I'm glad he joined the Grey's cast. But I wish he would get a haircut LOL.
So typical that Hunt & Amelia get back together (maybe?) and Teddy fails to tell Hunt that she's pregnant with his baby. So dumb. Teddy should have just told him regardless of his current relationship status. They were friends for so many years that I don't buy that she wouldn't tell him. Especially as she must know he's desperate to have kids.
Enjoyed this opener for sure. I kinda wish Miranda would have let the "REAL CHIEF" take over. (Richard doesn't have the title but he's still the true leader...)

I have missed big chunks of Grey's over the years, so can someone clue me in. Who is that young girl bunking with Owen and Amelia and is that her baby?
I am partial to brunettes so I thought new Asian guy was hawt! Were they implying that Dr. Glasses ( idk his name) is gay?

He fostered a baby and the young girl living with them is the baby's biological mother. Amelia helped her get clean. Amelia moved back in and now wants to give it another shot with Owen. From THR interview with showrunner:For the first time in years, Grey's does not have a series regular character from the LGBT community. How are you approaching those storylines post-Arizona? Will Carina or Casey (Alex Blue Davis) get a new love interest? Is Levi (aka "Glasses") bisexual? You're also introducing Dr. Nico Kim, the show's first gay-male surgeon. Helm?
We have a beautiful coming-out story and romance. It's our favorite thing at every table read. It's vivid and exciting and brand new for our show because it focuses on gay men. Alex Landi (seen below) is an exciting addition to the cast, for sure, and you have to watch if you want to know more about that story! In our recurring cast, we also have Jaicy Elliot as Taryn "Hellmouth" Helm, Stefania Spampinato as Carina DeLuca and Alex Blue Davis playing Casey Parker, a proud trans man playing a proud trans man. While Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) are iconic and can never be replaced, our show continues to look like the world at large — which is to say, LGBTQIA people are everywhere. |

We all know Grey's loves to drag a secret out. So who knows when Owen will learn he has a kid on the way. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I love that Chris Carmack joined the cast. Enjoyed him on OC and Nashville. Am I the only one that just doesn't like Jackson and Maggie together? Writers say this is the season of love. So hopefully Meredith finally finds a guy that last more than one episode.  I liked William Thorpe and Nick Marsh. Good chemistry. |

I hope they don't pair up Meredith and the new sexy ortho guy OR, even worse, DeLuca, unless all she wants is a roll in the hay, and that's getting old on this show. They need to bring in someone new (older, more mature and accomplished), but unfortunately they usually don't. Did anyone else think they were going to give Cece the matchmaker the organs of the young woman who died after the accident she caused?

Teddy should be popping up soon since she is a main cast member this season. I always liked Teddy, but I like her and Owen better as friends. I am always rooting for Amelia.
Meredith definitely needs a real man in her life. But she will probably have a few flings first.

I loved Meredith with Martin Henderson's character. Have no idea why they let him go.
I'm also always on the side of Amelia and would like to see her stay with Owen. That said, I do like Teddy and am glad she's back.
I'm loving some of the new interns (still don't remember their character names) especially the guy with the big glasses and the woman who assisted Meredith (and seems to have a crush on her).
Never liked Maggie and Jackson. Hope they both find somebody else upon his return...or stay single for a time.
Meredith and DeLuca? Hmmm.... I had never thought about them until the first episode of the season. I'm not totally opposed to the coupling.
I am afraid that the Karevs are both heading for career disasters. Time will tell.

When I read he was joining the cast, I was actually excited. I liked him on HIMYM. Then seeing him last night with Meredith I was sorta let down. I felt zero chemistry. Maybe I just really want him to brush his hair. Anyone else watch?

However, now you have given me courage. He looks about 10 years younger than she does, and it's not as if a relationship in which the woman is noticeably older than the man can't work; it just isn't working for me given the status and accomplishments of the character she plays. I realize he's a professional, too, in his own field. They just didn't seem to fit except for some shallow and trivial banter. Maybe I still have Radnor's immaturity from HIMYM in my head. I'd love to see her with a mature hottie who is very accomplished, but perhaps they're trying to lighten up her personality a bit with a younger guy who doesn't have a lot of responsibilities. It's just kind of disappointing after all this time with no love interest. |

That said, I wasn't necessarily looking forward to seeing the actor/character again. Never knew he was hired to be Meredith's new romantic pairing. Like I said before, I liked her with Riggs (Martin Henderson). Oh, well.

So far he just comes across as an immature goofball to me, unless that's what they're going for. I don't know how long his part will last - whether it's a fling or the second great love of her life. So many other (perhaps unemployed at present) actors could portray more of a match for Meredith ... off the top of my head - Rob Lowe, Simon Baker, Dylan McDermott, Colin Firth, Justin Theroux, John Corbett, David Boreanaz, Dean Cain, Keanu Reeves.

It really was a good episode and I loved the tie in with Dia de los Muertos...that little window where our loved ones who have passed are all around us, and seeing George, Lexi, Derek, Ellis, McSteamy, in the hospital halls. Just NO to new ortho guy trying to get a date with Meredith. Come on now, it is getting a bit unbelievable that she is desired by the entire male population there. DeLuca is crushing on her and he is also too young for her, but I'd rather him than ortho doc. |

I know this show has been on for 15 years but I could have sworn her father had already died. Seeing all the dead characters made me realize how great they were and how much I miss them. I've never been able to have the same attachment to the newer cast. It feels like they used to create characters, add them to the show and see how they would interact. Now, it feels like they create characters for a specific storyline and have no idea what to do with them once that story is done. |
