We binged "Evil Genius" the other day. Yowzers. Couple of diabolical crazy people in that one . . . and it's a true story!

I added Broadchurch to my ridiculously long list. Shuffle the list and put Broadchurch at the top. Awesome series.

We just started watching "Dark" on Netflix last night. Looks like another binge-worthy series! We really liked that one...there's supposed to be a season two coming out sometime, I can't wait. Okay, Broadchurch is going to be my next binge since it's so highly recommended here!

I finished the last 2 episodes of Imposters. I was pleased that they wrapped everything up, even if season 3 appears elsewhere (please no) I think it was a good end for the series. The only thing is I wish they had shown the bunglers in their 6 month later meet up.

We just binge-watched the whole series of "The Staircase" on Netflix. I've always been obsessed with the story of Kathleen Peterson's death. It did not change my opinions . . . which are: - Duane Deaver (the SBI agent who lied on the stand) is an idiot and should be in prison.
- Judge Orlando Hudson made a very intelligent summary at the end of the last episode, and I agree with him completely.
- My heart broke for Caitlin (Kathleen's daughter) . . . who lost not just her mother, but her entire family.
- I was sickened by the multiple scenes showing Michael, his attorneys and/or his brother JOKING about him as a murderer.
Having said that: I believe that Michael Peterson killed Kathleen. I have suspicions about whether he killed Elizabeth Ratliff, and am not as convinced that he killed her as I am convinced that he killed Kathleen.

I initially passed on this because I've seen so many reports on the Michael Peterson story over the years that I'm tired of seeing him. I don't like him and believe he is guilty of killing Kathleen. Don't really know about the other woman, but have to say, "hummmmm". I don't really understand the latest rehashing of it all by Netflix. Is there anything new in this? Is this so well done it's worth watching? I do love me a nice binge!

The latest rehash (I think) is because the French filmmaker who had unlimited access to the Petersons and the defense team filmed a few additional episodes to show what had happened since his initial verdict was vacated. The new episodes go all the way to the end, when he took the Alford plea. Nothing in those more recent episodes will make most people like Michael Peterson any more than they already did or didn't.
Unbelievably, in the last episode, he actually cracks a joke with his family or attorneys to the effect of, "Well, I guess since I'm free now I can go looking for someone to be #3." How horrendous is that to joke about?

Thanks. I'll ponder on it. I just don't like him!
On the other hand, I just finished seasons one and two of Marcella on Netflix. A good British serialized Drama about the search for a serial killer by an emotionally compromised female cop.

Ok, I'm late to the party...but binging on 'The Good Place'. Sooo good!! Ted Danson is genius in this. Adam Scott was in the last episode that I watched and he is just too funny.

After I finished season 2 of Queer Eye, I decided I needed something totally different. I'm on a bit of a British crime drama kick at the moment. I watched all of The Five Saturday and then watched Collateral Sunday afternoon. Now I'm mid-way through season 1 of Marcella.

I'm watching Appropriate Adult on Amazon. It's based on the Fred and Rose West serial torture, killing and backyard dismemberment burials of young women, including one of their own daughters, in England. They were put on trial in 1994. I've read a couple of books on the subject. Pretty gruesome.

I tried watching one of those serial killer shows on Netflix, but that was all I could handle of that genre.

We switched and watched Doctor Foster. Well-acted, but wow . . . a story of how people who love each other very much can hate each other with the same intensity. Going to start on River within the next day or so. Because Nicola Walker.

I watched Doctor Foster a few weeks ago and didn't love it. I guess I need to find SOMEONE on a show sympathetic and I found all of them horrid. It definitely wasn't what I expected.

We're halfway through River (3 episodes down out of 6). Stellan Skaarsgard and Nicola Walker play off each other so well. Loving this!

That's how I felt after finishing River, AZC. WOW. I love Stellan Skarsgard and Nicola Walker together AND separately. I'd love to see them paired up again.
After a little break from Marcella, where I binged ALL of The Bold Type ( ), I'm back to Marcella again. I feel like many of these new British crime dramas should have a tagline like, "You thought that OTHER detective was screwed up? Wait 'til you see this one! Her family's a mess too!"

I had that exact same thought while binging Marcella! I love the British detective type series! So bingeable! With some series I have to put on the closed captioning because, well..... they talk British.

I'm not exactly binging it, but pretty cconsistently watching Death in Paradise. Just started watching at the end of April and halfway through season four. I love a good detective show and the scenery is beautiful. I have added Guadalupe (where it's filmed) to my "someday I want to travel there" list.

Finished the second season of Broadchurch - also excellent. Maybe not quite as *wow* as the first, but still extremely good. The trial made me mad, but then what they did after sort of made up for it. Off to start on the third season...I could listen to David Tennant's accent all day.

Luke Cage season 2 binge in full effect!
Before I started with LC, I watched both seasons of the One Day at a Time reboot, which turned out to be a LOT better than I expected. After so many dark British crime dramas, it was nice to watch something a little lighter. When the origianal show aired, single moms on TV were a pretty big deal. I was curious to see what this iteration would come up with, but it's gotten very good critical reviews, so I decided to take a chance. I was impressed that they did tackle some pretty weighty subjects - immigration, LGBT rights, pay inequality, etc. I should have expected that, since Norman Lear was involved with this version as well. Definitely .....and this is from someone who doesn't like sitcoms! I saw some reviews on imdb bashing the show for having a laugh track. Apparently some people can't tell the difference, as this show was clearly filmed before an audience. Those of us who lived through 70's shows with super fake laugh tracks ( M*A*S*H, anyone?) know what a laugh track sounds like!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Turn are my current binges. The first half of AOS was a little dull, but the second story arc is much better. I had Turn on my list for quite some time and finally started it. I like knowing that the show has concluded and all of the seasons are on Netflix, so I will see it all.
