So did we. !! The actor who played Brady was excellent. We also loved Bill and Holly. We finished all seasons of Animal Kingdom, did you? I just finished Animal Kingdom last night! I still don't have the right words for that finale. Lots of gasps and tears. I'm gutted its over but I am just so sad with how it played out. Its been obvious since season 1 that Jay was always going to seek revenge. This was always going to happen but wow it was 100x more brutal than I ever would have imagined. Gem of the season: Scott Speedman returning as Baz! Loved Baz. Sigh. I cried with Daren over Craig .Smurf was a beyotch. J didn't seem happy.

After closing out another show for good. My personal top 10 best shows of all time have been cemented. I’m sure most here have seen some of these but just in case you haven’t!
Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Animal Kingdom, Queen of the South, Kingdom, Ray Donovan, Bloodline, Power, Ozark, Bates Motel.

I made it to Season 2 episode 4. I grew up on Dallas original and reboot and Knot's Landing. I thought that's what Yellowstone would resemble but so far its not giving me that OOMPH. I read all the reviews so I don't doubt its a great show but its feels too slow for me. Is this the pace for all 4 seasons? Is it just not my thing? I adore Kevin Costner and the characters hooked me enough to wonder what will transpire but its on the backburner.

I didn't think I would like the show, but as I grew attached to the characters, we binged! I am looking forward to the next season, and as Peaky Blinders has also finished, Peaky Blinder, the movie!

I am breaking my own rule about no subtitled shows.. I just can't pay enough attention to the show and read at the same time.. but I am a wee bit obsessed with HBO's Miss S. It takes place in Shanghai and follows a female PI solving mysteries with the local police. It is campy and over the top in some of their acting direction but it is cute and I love the main cast. They all have such great interaction and chemistry. It is based on the books (and Aussie series) Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Their costumes are amazing too! I love this era, so much glamour I'm just the opposite about subtitled shows. I subtitle EVERYTHING that I can (with "close caption"). I do like foreign films and tv programs in other languages, and programs where people speak with foreign accents (which I can't always understand), and also, I guess I'm getting old, or maybe people are mumbling too much these days, or who-knows-what --- but I notice there's so much of the spoken words on tv that I just don't get -- so that I love having the text written in English at the bottom of the screen. So nowadays, I just keep it on all the time. Yeah, it gets in the way occasionally, but that's ok, I like the convenience of being able to read what the people are saying. PS I have to check out Miss S. That's exactly the kind of show I love! Thanks FireWoman ! We do too. We recently got a new TV and I couldn't figure out how to do the subtitles. I was lost! We would watch What We Do in the Shadows and I had such a hard time understanding Nadja. Well, I figured out the subtitles (finally) and Nadja is delighting me once again.

Not really a binge since they've only dropped one episode, but American Gigolo on Showtime was pretty darn good. Jon Bernthal isn't as pretty as Richard Gere was in the movie, but he's got his own kind of swagger. Definitely will keep watching.

Hotel Portofino. I missed this on pbs, so picked it up at the library. Judging from some of the reviews, we thought we'd hate it. Just the opposite, we really liked it. The cinematography was beautiful, really beautiful. I'm hoping for a season two.
A glamorous period drama, as the characters go about their lives in 1920s Italy, when Benito Mussolini's brand of fascism was on the rise.

I was watching it on my vacation in Tennessee this summer and loved it, I am going to see if it is streaming somewhere.

I did 6 months of Starz for $20 and it's just about to end, so I'm watching a few things before my subscription ends.
I'm now watching The Gloaming, an Aussie series set in Tasmania. Good cast, including Martin Henderson. I'd never seen Milly Alcock in anything before House of the Dragon, but who's the first person to have a line of dialogue in episode one of this series? Milly Alcock! Too funny.

I didn't think I'd like it either, but I was kind of desperate for a 'period piece' of some kind, so I watched. And right from the beginning I liked it very much! I can usually tell beforehand if I'm going to enjoy a show or not, but sometimes you just don't know until you actually get into it.

I had to spend time with my daughter while she worked from home yesterday so she set me up to watch Severance on Apple, which I don’t have at home. Wow! Now I have to scroll back and see if it’s already been discussed.

I don't see a Paramount+ thread to put this in, but they're running a special where you can get a whole year for half off with the code WINTER50. I switched from monthly and got 12 months for $25, not bad.

I'm so happy I found it, while randomly roaming through a bunch of channels I rarely go to, looking for something interesting to watch. It turned out to be one the most delightful series! And now it's all over, and I miss it.

Yellowstone - An American western series about a family ranch and the never-ending conflicts that arise. There are not words to describe the hot mess this is. And I don't mean hot mess in a bad way. This family is nuts. I am on season four and cannot get enough.

It isn't like I WANT to like it, I do.. and tried. I loved 1883, even with Young Sheldon chick narrating it (which was the worst parts for me) but am on the fence on starting 1923. Maybe on my next vacation with no school I will try again.

Watching early GBBO seasons and have to admit a lot of the light went out of the show when Mary Berry left. She was just so warm and eloquent in her judging, and she and Paul played off each other well. There was no stupid handshake, and Paul was actually helpful to contestants instead of walking around the tent giving people stank-eye. Mary and Sue have had the last laugh though; they've gone through two different co-hosts now and are on number 3 in the Channel 4 years? I'm convinced that slot is cursed, lol.

Not really binge watching, but is anyone watching Poker Face on Peacock? It’s by Rian Johnson the creator of Knives Out and The Glass Onion. It’s so good! It’s basically a murder mystery of the week, which I am all about There’s one episode dropping each Thursday (I think) with a total of 10 episodes for the season. I highly recommend it! The 5th episode dropped this past week and included Judith Light and S Epatha Merkerson as guest stars. They were both amazing in it. Definitely my favorite episode to date!

I have been watching THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. TV Land has 4 hours of it 4-8 on weekday nights. After all the "news" that we get slammed with, this is a breath of fresh air---simple stories, likable characters and positive values.

Right now I'm binge-watching Felicity, lol. I remember watching a couple of episodes when it first aired and enjoyed the whole "getting away from overbearing parents and whooping it up at NYU" storyline because whew, the parents are a mess. There's being concerned for your children and wanting them to have the best start in life" and running roughshod on them by making them do what you want them to do (and not things they chose for themselves). Poor Felicity. Imagine your parents thinking you're on drugs because you don't want to go to med school and want a life for themselves in the Big Apple.

Over the weekend, I binged all of It Can't Happen Here on AMC+. It's a true crime, investigative show with Hilarie Burton Morgan. The show highlights cases - often murders - in small towns. Hilarie goes to the town, speaks to the various people involved in the case. In a few cases, the person convicted has been released from prison after evidence cleared them. The show really points out the issues of bias that can exist in small town law enforcement. Really well done show.
I also finally watched Wednesday. Cute, but I don't get the massive amount of fuss around the show. Perhaps I'm not the right demographic
