Waaah! Sisters ended way too fast! It was so good, and I want more. Please, please let there be a Season 2! From what I've been able to find, the show hasn't been cancelled or renewed by the Australian station that broadcast the first season. It seems to be stuck in some sort of hiatus limbo. Maybe we need to start a campaign to get Netflix to pick it up.

I thought sure I'd read that Sisters was picked up for season 2, but now I can't find anything about that. Maybe it was wishful thinking.
I agree - I need to find out what happens next, especially in light of those DNA test results!

Critical, THANK YOU for introducing me to Sisters. I loved it. I too looked for news of a season 2 but so far it hasn't been renewed. Sadly it only had 218, 000 viewers. Hopefully the twitter love can get Netflix to pick it up.

Sisters hasn't been on Netflix very long, so I'm hopeful that it'll keep getting great buzz and we'll get a second season! I'm binging two shows right now - Ozark on the TV in the living room and then I'm rewatching Grace & Frankie for the umpteenth time on the laptop in my studio while I work. When I work, I like having something on that's light and that doesn't require close viewing. That's usually stuff like stand-up specials or shows I've watched before. G&F never ceases to make me laugh, even if I've seen the episode 5 times.
ETA: To be fair, if that's 218,000 in Australia, that's a lot different than that same number in the US.

I finally got around to watching Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Loved it, although I was sad/surprised that there were only 8 episodes. Hopefully season 2 will have more. But there was a lot packed into each episode, that's for sure.

I love that show so much, MFW! I've watched season 1 several times and will probably watch it again before season 2 premieres. I liked Rachel Brosnahan on House of Cards, but WOW, she blew me away as Miriam Maisel! Sometimes, a part and an actor are just a perfect match.

Yup - great casting all around for that show. Alex Borstein blew me away. I'm glad she has found something to truly make her own without it being under Seth McFarland's thumb. I haven't seen Getting On or Bordertown, so for me she hasn't been able to shine like this since MadTV.

I haven't read through any of the posts, aside from the current page, but we're binging on Ozark. I'm having to suspend my disbelief a little too much for my liking, & I went from liking certain characters to hating them & vice versa. & then at one point I hated every single character except for one (it was Buddy for anyone who watches, yeah, I even hated the kid Jonah). Right now I like a couple of characters. OK, maybe not "like", but I don't hate them at the moment. I'm just not finding them to be sympathetic characters, although right now I am actually feeling bad for Ruth, getting to understand why she is the way she is, & also Wyatt. I won't spoil for anyone who hasn't watched. That's all I'll say about that. We have one episode left, which we plan to watch tonight. I'm not sure if I'll watch season 3 (assuming there is a season 3). Depends on how this goes.

Ugh. Just finished watching the final episode of season 2 of Ozark & I’m just so over it. I don’t even care. Done with it. The series had way too much F-bombs anyway. Bothered me from the start, & I curse like a sailor in real life, lol. But not every other word out of my mouth is an F-bomb or some form of it. I know a lot of people who can really get their swear on, & I still don’t know anyone who uses that word with that amount of frequency. It’s in almost every scene. Way over the top & detracts from the dialogue. But again, I’ve grown so disgusted with all the characters & the almost continuous suspension of disbelief that it wouldn’t matter anyway. BYE FELICIA!

I actually liked season two of Ozark, but I'm sort of glad I'm finished because those people stress me out. They just keep getting in worse and digging that hole deeper and deeper...ugh. And that Darlene character is just frightening. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are sooo good, though.

And that Darlene character is just frightening. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are sooo good, though. That's one of the things that was pissing me off is that they keep digging that hole deeper! And there are ZERO redeeming qualities in the Darlene character. She's a straight up lunatic. I hate the teenage daughter too. Super annoying, and again, no redeeming qualities. End the episode where she almost drowned was stupid, being that she's on the swim team. I don't even know what the point of that scene was supposed to be. If it was supposed to be symbolic of the family, it still gets fails all the way around. {Spoiler} I wasn't sad to see the FBI agent get...eliminated. I could have done without the extreme violence of it, but he was a creep. Won't miss him! And I did love the way Laura Linney's character set up the Carl character to get taken out by the cartel. He was straight evil.

The daughter is annoying, I agree. Like there's not enough going on, she has to add to the drama...I didn't mind what happened to the FBI agent, either. That guy was twisted. I binged Maniac this week - very odd and it took me a bit to figure out what was up, but I couldn't stop watching. The last two episodes were my favorites. Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were great. Just started watching Sharp Objects yesterday (yeah, I'm way behind on that one) and I really like it so far...

I finally subscribed to Hulu also and I started with Future Man with Josh Hutcherson. It's a fun, snarky, graphic-novel style sci-fi time travel story. Definitely TV-MA. I've gotten through the first 6 episodes so far. It was lovely (and sad) to see Glenn Headley as Josh's mom -- she passed away while filming the series. I'm not sure how many episodes she will be in past the ones I've seen.

Light as a Feather on Hulu-10 30 min. episodes, a group of high school girls play light as a feather on Halloween with one girl predicting how each player will die. Soon enough, each girl starts dying as predicted. It was basically a Final Destination TV show you would find on the CW.
Wanderlust on BBC but will be on Netflix on Friday, Toni Collette and Steven Mackintosh have been happily married with three children but find themselves in a sexual rut. They decide to sleep with other people. Toni Collette is amazing in nearly everything she does and this was no different. The children also have interesting stories so I found all the characters enjoyable.

I haven't watched it in a while, so I'm revisiting reason one of Rome. It's one of the more perfect seasons of any TV show ever and I always find something new each time I re-watch it.
I remember when the show first aired and the FoRTers who watched it all laughed about using spoiler tags when discussing things that had happened 2,000 years ago!

I FINALLY started watching Breaking Bad. What was I doing with my life when this was on that I missed it? Sooo good. If you haven't watched Better Call Saul, watch that when you finish BB....and watch it again after BB even if you HAVE seen it!
IMO, there are a lot of way in which BCS is a better show. Controversial opinion maybe, but I think Vince Gilligan has become an even better storyteller over the years.
I'm coming up to the Ides of March on Rome and started feeling that rising dread. I took a little break to watch the first episode of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. I don't think I'm in the target demographic, but I really like the cast, Kiernan Shipka in particular.

The Split BBC - Mother and 2 of the 3 sisters are divorce attorneys whose father walks back into their lives. It follows their personal lives and also follows the lives of a divorce cases they are currently dealing with. I really liked it and glad it is coming back for a season 2. Nicola Walker never disappoints.
Born to Kill BBC - Psychological drama about a model teenager with hidden psychological issues psychopathic tendencies who beings to act on them. Oh boy this young man made me nervous for 4 hours!
Butterfly ITV - 11 year old Max identifies as a girl and wants to live her life as Maxine. Her estranged parents Vicky and Stephen attempt to work out how best to cope with and support this huge life decision. I tend to watch anything Anna Friel does and have become to like Emmett Scanlan. It made me have Marcella withdrawals.

I signed up for the Sling TV Blue seven-day free trial, and they have HGTV on demand (along with a lot of other good cable channels), so I've been binge-watching all of the flipping shows you all have been talking about. Mostly, I've been watching Desert Flippers, and I really like what they do with their houses.
In addition to liking their houses, I think they have a fairly good rapport, but it makes me realize just how good Chip and Joanna Gaines were. No one has the same level of comfortable give and take, kidding, and fun that they managed to create on their show.
Last night, I watched the two Flip or Flop Atlanta shows--the boarding house and the hoarder one--that people were talking about recently. They were interesting, too, but I like Desert Flippers better.

The Purge-USA Not good at all. Basically background noise while working. A few moments caught my eye but I did a lot of fast forwarding. I like the film franchise because I do think the premise is crazy as hell but 10 episodes of the same thing was too much.
Homecoming-Amazon Julia Roberts plays Heidi who once worked as a caseworker at Homecoming that helps soldiers transition back to civilian life. Years later after leaving, an investigation beings into Homecoming which makes Heidi realize she has no memory of it. I would say it is a tamer Black Mirror series. There are 10 20 min. episodes. I liked it but I wasn't blown away by it. There will be a season two so I'd tune in to see where it goes from here.

My husband and I are binge watching Jane the Virgin...don't know why I took so long to watch it, we LOVE it! He was on a work trip for the week of my birthday (Halloween), so to get in the spooky mood, I binged AHS: Freak Show. And then, because I forgot how it ended and didn't realize it had finished, I started Hotel...that one just really disturbs me. For real. Two episodes in and I don't know if I'll watch the whole season again...

Checking this thread out since I'm seeking new binge material. So far I have tried:
Camping (HBO) - Jennifer Garner, Juliette Lewis, dude that plays Toby on This is Us, etc. - great cast. So far all about a super-anal hypochondriac control freak (Garner) who sets up a camping trip for her husband's birthday. Invited are various friends and relatives from all walks of life. The only character I really like is Janicza Bravo, who just tells it like it is deadpan. The shows seems like you are watching something meant to be performed on stage rather than a TV show. It seems like someone's vanity project. How long can this show possibly continue? Will this camping trip ever end????
I'm Sorry (truTV) - This show is hilarious. Get past episode one, it just gets better and better. Kind of like Seinfeld if you know what I mean. I watched all episodes of 2 seasons within 2 days. IMDB I'm Sorry
Baroness Von Sketch (IFC) - Saturday Night Live-style brief sketches featuring all women. I always loved the sketches on SNL, so this is a fun little show to watch with episodes only 20-25 minutes long. Baroness Von Sketch on IFC
Can you tell I'm looking for amusement?

Heads up, fans of Sisters! I've found a new binge! Lasts night I started season 1 (of 7 ) of Offspring: Imagine an Australian Allie McBeal where the lead character is a doctor and not a lawyer....only with a more appealing lead and a WAY hotter romantic lead! I intended to watch maybe one episode and ended up watching seven in a row! I'm totally hooked!
wannasee I don't really believe in guilty pleasures but Jane the Virgin is sort of that for me - why feel guilty about watching something? I think people who have never seen it might write it off as silly and frivolous, but it's definitely not. It can be crazy and over-the-top, but it's also really well acted and tempers the telenovela wackiness with some really serious stuff. For me, the narrator makes the show. I love it when he says, "I know, RIGHT!?"

A Discovery of Witches - Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode - Diana finds herself immersed in a world of vampires, demons, witches and forbidden love when she comes across an ancient manuscript forcing her to acknowledge her own magical heritage. I really liked it! If you like Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, The Originals....this is right up your ally.
Mayans M.C. - Series picks up a few years after Sons on Anarchy. EZ (an informant) is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. Its definitely not as good as SOA but the last 3 episodes were damn good so I can't wait for season 2!
