If nothing else, the strike has been great for catching up on series or movies you missed! Over the last few weeks, I've watched all of Justified and all of the available episodes of the reboot. Over the weekend, I watched season one of Welcome to Wrexham, in anticipation of season 2 starting in a few weeks.
Now I'm watching Black Snow on AMC+. I love Aussie crime series and I LOVE Travis Fimmel. I knew he was Australian, but it still is weird to hear him speak in his actual accent after watching him on Vikings all those seasons.

Is Painkiller better/worse/any different than Dopesick that I watched on Hulu a couple of years ago?

I didn't see Dopesick so I can't compare. This hade a heavy emphasis on the pharmaceutical end of it.

So, I just started listening to the audiobook of Tara Westover's Educated. The narrator is Julia Whelan. That name sounded super familiar, so I googled her. It turns out that she played Sela Ward's eldest daughter on Once and Again, I show I LOVED about twenty years ago. It's not streaming anywhere, but then I found it on YouTube.
So, that's a long way of explaining how I fell down a rabbit hole of Once and Again episodes on YouTube

The Continental on Peacock is fabulous except for one glaring mistake in casting. Thank goodness that person isn't playing a nice character.

And now I get to binge all three seasons! Can't wait! Unfortunately, I only found a few episodes from season 1. Then a few season 2 episodes. It looks like most of season 3 is available on YouTube. I'm seriously considering buying all three seasons on DVD. Just watching the episodes I watched reminded me of how much I loved that show.....and how far we've fallen with TV dramas, especially on network TV.
I'm still so sad that the thirtysomething sequel series got binned over the pandemic. I was really looking forward to another Zwick and Herskovitz series. They'd even announced the cast
Oh, I also watched the first episode of relativity, another Z&H series, starring Kimberly Williams (pre-Paisley). I could only find the first episode. I'll bet I have it on VHS somewhere in my house, although no VCR. That was a great show too.
