My impression, and I could very well be wrong, was that she and the other ladies are asked to "dig in" and act as though the food is scrumptious and basically irresistible. She, and the others, has/have done this when Trisha Yearwood has been on promoting her new cookbooks, as well as at other times for similar purposes. Again, it appears promotional, at least to me. Maybe for some food-related segments, but they didn't have to promote Rachael Ray and her guacamole. RR is already well promoted, and it's not like she's selling her guac, at least I don't think so. If they're promoting someone's cookbook or a restaurant, it's fine to take a bite on the air and ooh and aah, but then stop please! Eat during the commercials. I know it's a small thing, but all that chomping and talking with food in their mouths drive me crazy.
Re Meghan, I don't tweet or read twitter, so I don't know what was said, but if it convinces her to tone down the shrillness and defensiveness, not to mention all the complaining about how she's the odd-woman out on the panel (she knew that when she took the job), it's a good thing! Sorry. Should have specified that the promo in this case was for El Toro Blanco. It was the impression I got, but again, I could very well be wrong.

I don't think that Megan brings the level of political wonkiness to the show that someone like Nicole Wallace did. Wait, WHAT???? You say Nicole Wallace brought "political wonkiness" to the show???? Have you seen Nicole Wallace's show "Deadline: White House" aired daily on MSNBC? The woman is politically experienced, smart, savvy, quick witted, and VERY knowledgeable about politics. There's NO wonkiness on Deadline: White House. This is what Wikipedia has this to say about Nicole: "American journalist, author, anchor of Deadline: White House, and chief political analyst for MSNBC and NBC News. She served as the White House Communications Director during the presidency of George W. Bush and in his 2004 re-election campaign. In 2008, Wallace also served as a senior advisor for the McCain–Palin campaign. She was a co-host of the long-running talk show The View and is a frequent contributor and guest host on MSNBC programs The 11th Hour with Brian Williams and Morning Joe, as well as on NBC's Today Show." For the rest of the information, you can go to: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolle_Wallace

Dictionary definition of a political wonk: policy wonk (plural policy wonks)
(politics, government) A person who studies or develops strategies and policies, especially one who has a keen interest in and aptitude for technical details.
I am not insulting Nicole when I talk about her being a political wonk. I’m giving her high praise. To define it another way, Jeb Bush brought wonkiness to the 2016 republican primary. Donald Trump did not. I have a respect and admiration for political wonkiness.

Clearly everyone at the table this morning shared the same view. This needs to stop NOW. It took guts for Meghan to call out Ivanka. What does her silence mean? Past first ladies have all spoken up, our current first lady has spoken up... so why hasn't Ivanka? And boy did Sara ever lambast Nielsen. When she's passionate about something, she tells it like it is. I love that about her.

The thing I really respect about Sara is that she only gets that passionate when she REALLY cares about something. She's smart in using it carefully, so when she does, you really take note and listen to what she has to say. Sunny, Megan and Joy all seem to sound the same on every issue, so you never know when they really want you to pay attention in the same way it's clear with Sara.

Rachel sent quacamole to Joy, for her avocado hand,. I was at the taping for that show. OMG, Whoopi eating while trying to moderate was super annoying. And she just kept doing it. lol But Jon Hamm! He’s even better looking in person, if possible. Something my friend and I really noticed was Meghan’s body language. Wow! I don’t watch the show, but I guess I can assume she has very little support for her ‘view’ and boy does she come across as extremely frustrated. She didn’t even stay on stage during commercial breaks. Lots of eye rolls and shoulder shrugs. But, there was an audience question from a young lady wanting to get active in politics. Meghan wasn’t onstage at the time, and the question was initially asked to Sara. Sara said Meghan was definitely the one to ask and when Meghan did come back out, she was extremely helpful to the gal with suggestions, and Meghan even gave the her her personal email. It was actually quite fascinating watching her, except I have no idea what she was up to when Jon Hamm was onstage. 😉

I'm not a fan of Hamm, so I just used the FF. As for the eating, people make funny comments on Facebook about that..they have to stop! The restaurant was probably near the studio, but with a 3.9 rating online, maybe Whoopi was the only one that liked it?..

True, she was not in the segment with Meek Mill (they were all with Jon Hamm,) but she left every commercial break. She did come back early one time and had a one on one with Whoopi off to the side before they came back on air, and they were both laughing as they sat back at the table. I have a feeling Whoopi plays peacemaker a lot.
I like Meghan and share a lot of her beliefs. I can imagine it gets extremely frustrating for her. Joy would drive me bonkers. lol

I think that Megan has a perception - justified sometimes and not at others - that she can't get a word in with many discussions. So it would not surprise me if during a one on one with Whoopi, they are going over points that Megan wants to make sure are stated so that Whoopi can help make sure they are heard.

Meghan once again said she gives up. All I have to say to that is... I don't even know what she was so frustrated about this time. It seemed like everyone was listening to what she had to say in that particular segment. I'm so tired of her "victim" attitude... "Oh poor me, nobody agrees with anything I say." Get another job, sweetie. The name of the show is not Meghan's View, and you knew you were going to be the only Republican on the panel.

It was Meghan who said that he wouldn't do anything and "that's why our Founding Fathers put..."
She was advocating legislation on the floor but beyond that she was not making any sense. Whoopi had to clean things up for her.

The circumstances and conditions between then and now are not comparable. More valuable info on that can be found elsewhere, if you are interested. What we are currently seeing are only what they are allowing us to see which are pics that are being presented to the media, not pics taken by the media. This has raised a lot of concern and this is where I disagreed with Whoopi yesterday. Yes, it will absolutely hurt us to see what is going on. No doubt they will be disturbing images that will last forever in our minds. But Sara is right, only seeing what they will show us is not enough. I thought the look on Sara's face was that of total surprise when Whoopi disagreed with her. In Whoopi's defense though, she and Joy have been doing an admirable job comparing current events to past history.

I'm glad Ivanka and the first lady obviously spoke with president Trump behind the scenes. Omg that footage of Beyonce's daughter hiding her face was priceless.. I rewound to watch again.I walked in on my parents!!! Cynthia Nixon, she seems well spoken, but I get what Whoopi was getting at( we have the same Mayor!!) I couldn't listen to all she said..I used the FF. Once again, Joy ,catch and release you haven't heard of that? other than fishing???

I appreciate Joy being on the panel with her former teacher background. She often brings up things that have occurred in history that the younger members of the panel know nothing about. The same can be said for Whoopi, mainly when it comes to civil rights and racism. While I don't appreciate Joy's interruptive one-liners, she does add clarity to many subjects.

I am curious about something. Meghan was leaving Thursday to go home to see her father. She goes every other weekend. So was today's program taped yesterday before news came out about Melania's coat? I know they showed pics of Melania at a table in a facility for 12 to 17 year olds, but that could have been inserted in last night. It just seems unlikely to me that if they had known about it, it wouldn't have been discussed. Did I say that right? Doesn't matter, you know what I mean!
