A heart breaking 6 part series about the torture and murder of an eight year old child by his mother and her boyfriend and the failure of all the agencies in LA County who should have protected him. Heart breaking. But we should watch this to make sure it can't happen again, though it happens all too often. The creulty towards children by those who should love and protect them is unbelievable, it happens all too often. I'd highly recommend this documentary Trials: Gabriel Hernandez. God bless Gabriel Hernandez and all abused children. I'm just so sad. I remember the case and I read about this series. I just can't. Punkin libgirl2While I am not familiar with this sad story. I can't either.

I just watched the first 2 episodes of Unbelievable. I have recently developed a love for the limited series format. And this one had my attention from the start. In the first episode, the detective that basically bullied her into saying there was no rape made me so mad!!

In the first episode, the detective that basically bullied her into saying there was no rape made me so mad!! I watched that while I was in the hospital after surgery. Sat in the chair and binged almost the whole thing on my phone. I didn't see the last episode though. I don't know if felt like it was getting weak, at least for me. Or maybe I was tired of staring at a tiny screen!

I remember the investigation and how it played out on local LA news and recently read about the documentary, but I can't watch it. My memories of the newscasts still haunt me.

After seeing it advertised for the past year or so, I finally watched Unorthodox. Loved it! The lead actress is luminous. She looked so much like a young Leah Remini. The show itself was a fascinating look into a very closed community. I just watched this too.. because of your posting.. and I have to say I loved it! Like I could not stop watching it.. it kept me up far too late, lol. But it was wonderful!

I really liked that they made her husband out to be basically a nice guy. They could have gone with making him a cartoon character of the "bad" husband but didn't. She just wasn't the right one for him. And the cousin, I also thought he was going to be evil but really he wasn't. He was trapped like her but he didn't have it in him to break free. Of course he also had a wife and children to think about.

I think he did care about her but in the end she had to care for herself, and her child, more. It really was a heart tugging story.

The Block Island Sound - a well done, slow burn creepy suspense/horror (no gore). Really enjoyed it. The Vanished - I haven't wanted to slap a character this much since Will Farrell in Downhill. Wow, was Anne Heche annoying. The movie itself was okay, all the weirdness was explained in the last ten minutes. If you can make it that far.

We saw it awhile ago, and it was just okay for us. Quicksand is so( so) much better.. riveting.

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. Although this mystery has been covered by many video documentaries over the years, and I think I've watched them all, this is the best. If you don't know what this mysterious disappearance is about, I won't spoil it for you. But if you're in for a good "Who dun it", this is it!

I watched Behind Her Eyes (limited series) yesterday. Sci fi thriller . I enjoyed it, lots of twists and turns and not too long and drawn out. Beautiful actors, tasteful love scenes.

We watched Murder Among the Mormons yesterday. What a crazy story. That one guy - the chubby bald one in the fussy suit - was like something out of The Blacklist. I half expected James Spader to appear out of the shadows and hold him at gunpoint OMG...we watched this Saturday night. Just 3 episodes. Very good. Really crazy. A must see. Mark Hofman.....WOW......what a criminal. His criminal behavior started when he was a child. His scheming and plotting YET coming across to EVERYONE he meets as a wonderful, caring, smart, likable man. Yes, I agree that chubby dude was for lack of a better word very 'animated'.

The acting was fabulous. As someone that does not care for Sci Fi thrillers, this series I LOVED. The ENDING. I would have NEVER guessed hence I love how they kept the viewing audience wondering. I hope and I am guessing there will be an S2.

My Octopus Teacher! This wildlife movie was wonderful! I've always liked Octopuses, or Octopi, they are very intelligent. So I would never ever eat one. Plus, I don't eat any seafood, so there's that. This is a wonderful story of a man who lives at the southern tip of South Africa who dives into the kelp forest near his home every day and gets to know an Octopus. It's better than it sounds. I'd recommend!

Hi Princess! I binged an 8 episode series today, The Serpent. I'd recommend it. It's about an international gem dealer/serial killer. It's based on a true story from the seventies and based in Bangkok, India, France and Nepal primarily. Good story with an evil antagonist and an obsessed Dutch foreign officer hunting him and his crew down. Also has a cute white puppy!

I watched I Care a Lot over the weekend. While I have nowhere near the kind of wealth that would interest anyone, it was terrifying. Does that kind of thing actually happen?

I want to say it was another show I saw recommended here, sorry I cannot recall who it was, but I have been enjoying Kim's Convenience sooo much. I only hate the episodes are so short I love this family! Sad to hear it would be ending after this upcoming season and there is a spin off in the works for the Manager of the car rental place.

We started it over the weekend, have two episodes left. I'm enjoying it. It is slow in parts but I will finish it out. I was surprised to see the woman who plays Adele is Bono's daughter!
