I loved Hotel Beau Séjour! I'm ready for season 2 to come out already.
Kiss me First was definitely different and interesting.

OMG.......I am so behind in my NETFLIX viewing so while holding my new baby doll, we all binged the TWO SEASON of MRS. MAISAL!!!!! LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT and LOVE Rachel so much!!!!!! Great cast and great s/l!!!!! One question why does SUZIE wear a KEY around her neck? Loved her as the "fake" plumber........hysterical. Oh and now so many changes. Joel pissed me off or what he did to Midge and I was glad for Benjamin in Midge's life ..... but but but the finale???? Suzie is not going to tell Midge about Sophie????

Instant Hotel - Follows homeowners who have transformed their homes into hotels and are individually judged by each other to receive the highest scores with the winner to win an ultimate prize. This show was so addicting. There will be a season 2!
Friends From College season 2 - Hilarious! Way better than season 1.

I think Amazing Mrs Maisal is Prime Original series.... isn't it? It's still a great, funny, clever series though just the same.

I think you're right. I was going through shows today to chose some to put on my preferred list & Mrs Maisel was one of them. I noticed afterwards I was in strictly Amazon Prime territory. I had to back up & choose another icon to get into Netflix shows. edited to add: Whoops, I just noticed my quotes ended up all blank. Not sure what I did wrong, but I was replying to the previous post.

I'm very much looking forward to Velvet Buzzsaw in February. I love art world satire— there's a lot to mock, lol. And it has some horror mixed in as well!

I'm on a true crime spree this week, I guess. Watched the The Ted Bundy Tapes - not bad, there are only four episodes so it didn't get super detailed. The last episode showed a lot of trial footage that I'd never seen, so that was interesting. That episode also had audio of him whispering into a recorder about cutting a girl's head off and carrying it up a road to bury it that will give me nightmares tonight. Also, I don't get all the social media comments about Bundy being "hot" - I think he looks effin' creepy. Also watched Abducted in Plain Sight, an almost unbelievable story about a creepy pedophile who became obsessed with this little girl, seduced both her parents, kidnapped the girl and convinced her she was an alien - twice. He did this TWICE. I think I watched the whole thing with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. You have to see this one to believe it.

This was probably the most bizarre unbelievable story I've ever watched -- especially the part about the dad. I can see the mom getting seduced because she's hetero and Berchtold was showering her with flattery she hadn't heard in all her years -- but the dad!?!?!? Unreal!!! (Unless he's closeted and wanting to stay that way). How terrifying it must have been for Jan to think she was half-alien and that she had to save the planet. She was definitely brainwashed, but to be so young and yet manage to hold it all together without having a nervous breakdown -- that took strength. This whole story left me wondering, "How could everyone have been fooled, and for so long!?!?!"

In the show 'You', do all the episodes have the weirdo main character's thoughts being said out loud most of the time? I stopped watching it during the first episode, it was getting kind of annoying.

I watched Polar with Mads Mikkelson yesterday and, after a kickass fight scene, an option came on the screen (like with "Skip Intro") that said something like, "Watch that scene again." Has anyone else come upon that? Kind of funny, but yes, I DID want to watch it again!

For those waiting for the next Project Runway to start, try Mexico Disena in the Competition Shows section of Netflix. Elle Magazine/Mexico is the sponsor and the concept is the same in that young designers have timed challenges to impress three judges. I really liked it.

I watched it a while ago and really didn't like it. It looked so staged with everyone wearing black and almost all the designed clothing was also black and white.

Polar was kinda weird. I am not sure what the title relates to, normally the title sorta sets the stage for the story.

The theme from Elle/Mexico the first season on Netflix is black. The first episode was creating a LBD Little Black Dress using their pre-show couture designs as inspiration. It startled me at first as well, but the second episode was a Tommy Hilfinger inspiration and color made an appearance.

Sex Education series - A teenage boy with a sex therapist mother teams up with a high school classmate to set up an underground sex therapy clinic at school. I watched for Gillian Anderson and ended really enjoying it. Anything that can keep me laughing for the day is good in my book. The series has been renewed for season 2.
Russian Doll series - A woman gets caught in a mysterious loop, repeatedly attending the same party and dying at the end of the night, only to awake the next day unharmed. Natasha Lyonne was amazing! Every episode was perfectly paced, it has heart and humor. Loved it.

I've been wanting to watch Russian Doll, I love Natasha Lyonne. I've heard good reviews. We watched Velvet Buzzsaw over the weekend...this is one people will either love or hate, I think. It's a satire of modern art culture with some horror thrown in. Odd, but I enjoyed it. It definitely makes a point about enjoying art for art's sake and not for profit.

So I watched Russian Doll and pretty much watched the season in one day while I was working from home. I wish now I had watched it during some down time, instead of basically having it on in the background. Natasha Lyonne really is amazing.

I have a hard time watching while working if the show is something good that really needs to be paid attention. You may just have to watch it again.

I loved Velvet Buzzsaw but feel like it was marketed wrong. People going into it thinking it's a horror film are bound to be disappointed when it's actually art satire with some elements of horror. I loled so hard during the funeral scene and when the hapless assistant kept finding bodies.

The Ted Bundy Tapes did have a few clips/info I hadn't seen in other documentaries. Didn't know social media was saying he was hot. Better looking than most serial killers I guess. I am sure those comments will only increase with Zac Efron playing him. Abducted in Plain Sight OMG! I was shocked from beginning to end. I couldn't believe this happened.

Holy cow, you guys! I just watched Abducted in Plain Sight and WOW was that nuts. I kept wanting to reach through the TV and smack those parents. How can people be SO naive!? All I can say is, if I was 12 and a 40-year old man had wanted to be alone in my room with me (much less anything else they allowed), my father would have gotten the shotgun and a shovel. I have to question their intelligence....I genuinely mean that. That's just not normal. After that first kidnapping, I would have pressed charges and made sure his a$$ was in jail. I certainly wouldn't still be speaking to him and there's NO WAY in hell my kid would be flown to another state to see him! The mind boggles....
Way - I think we probably had the same expression on our faces while watching it!
