Not thrilled about the rate hike from $6.99 to $10.99; that's almost double the price! Switched right over to the ad supported tier because...no.

Wow. I guess I got lucky on my deal. I have Hulu and Disney for like $4.99 for the next year. A $4.00 hike after such a short time is outrageous IMO. Unless I am able to find another nice deal like this one I will go back to mooching it off my boss. I cannot justify that kind of cost for one service that’s a bit more limited than most.

I missed the increase to $10.99 until I saw it on my credit card statement. When did this happen? I stopped the monthly payment through Roku and when the account fades, I'll look around for other options. They didn't give me any on that screen. Do they have a commercial option like I now get with Netflix??

Willow the TV series is bad. I saw rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes but the show is very poorly written, like a self published Young Adult (YA) novel. I didn't think that highly of the original movie version and thought with all the hype this show was getting it would be a vast improvement. But like all George Lucas properties the story telling is bad and boring as are the characters.

Wakanda Forever - DO NOT WATCH - what a waste of time - beautiful costumes, great set design, STORY TOTALLY SUCKED.
Shuri, the Black Panther sister is a spoiled, whinny, brat. Throughout the movie I just wanted to hit her in the head with a 2x4. The world is not all about you.
A new character was introduced, Riri Williams who is supposed to be this prodigy engineering wonder and the new version of Ironman named Ironheart. That part was so underwritten and underdeveloped and added absolutely NOTHING to the story. Ironheart hardly appears on the screen and if totally cut out of the film you would not have noticed.
I grew up reading both DC and Marvel and followed Namor the Submariner who was supposed to be the King of Atlantis, when did he become a mutant and a Mayan born 500 years ago?
I liked Martin Freeman as the CIA agent in the original film but the script totally butchered his story arc. What happened? Marvel Studios created good superhero films, they were full of character development and good storytelling. I really liked the Black Panther (movie) when it came out. The sequel should never have been released. Is this the influence of Disney now that it owns Marvel? What a disaster.
What is really funny are all the folks who comment on Rotten Tomatoes (movie review platform) how greedy Disney and Marvel are for monetizing Chadwick Boseman, the person who created The Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman did not create the Black Panther Marvel did in 1966. Ugh, both Disney and Marvel are in the business of entertainment and they did a nice montage of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther during the opening credits.

Kristen Kish has a new show about restaurants at the end of the world. First episode was in Panama at a home farm/restaurant on the top of a mountain. Fascinating...a series well worth the calories. )

I laughed so hard when Grogu flew into the Duchess's lap for snacks and later helped her cheat at that game, lol.

www.imdb.com/title/tt17921714/A SMALL LIGHT Follows twentysomething Miep Gies who, when her boss Otto Frank came to her and asked her to hide his family from the Nazis during World War II, didn't hesitate. For the next two years, Miep, her husband Jan, and the other helpers watched over the eight souls (Otto Frank, his wife Edith and daughters Anne and Margot as well as four others) in hiding in the Secret Annex. And it was Miep who found Anne's Diary and kept it safe so Otto, the only one of the eight who survived, could later share it with the world as one of the most powerful accounts of the Holocaust.THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!

Big changes afoot at Disney+ ahead of the merge with Hulu. Very soon, they're going to be removing a bunch of shows from the service:
I haven't gotten around to watching Willow, the series yet and am wondering if it's worth it. This is coming from someone who saw the movie in the theater more than once and LOVED it. Since there's only going to be the one season, I thought I might watch it, even though it stinks that there won't be any Mad Martigan (and, yes, I understand why Val Kilmer isn't in it, but it still stinks). The reviews weren't great either. Has anyone watched it?

It looks like Disney's rethinking their plan to remove a bunch of tv shows and movies after the backlash from that announcement. I still may give Willow a try, just in case they go ahead and remove it. It seems pretty short-sighted to get rid of it when it was just released last fall.
I thought I'd watch the movie before I started on the series and you can't find it streaming anywhere. I probably had it on VHS years ago, but I don't even have a VCR any more and I'm pretty positive the VHS tape is long gone.

Has anyone else watch A Small Light? It is the story of Anne Frank and her family but it is told from the point of view of the people that hid the family in Amsterdam. It’s a very good show and the girl that plays Meip is a delight.

American Born Chinese - based on a graphic novel. Good concept, horrid execution. This type of story is right up Disney's alley and was barely watchable and it had a great cast. Dismal.
Secret Invasion - Marvel - Nick Fury and the Skrull's - a continuation of Ms. Marvel and what happens after the blip. It was a struggle to get through episode 1. It took two days. Episode 2 was also a struggle.
Samuel Jackson and Emilia Clarke star. I just stopped watching and I don't think I even finished watching. Killing off the character Maria Hill did it.
Again another show, with no spark, no vim, no vigor, not worth my time.
Obi Won Kenobi - heard won an Emmy? How? Bribery? It was dull, plodding, and boring. Nothing happened. What a waste.

Well, I finally noticed the price hike and I barely watch anything on this platform anymore.
I started Secret Invasion and got barely could get through the first two episodes. I just could not watch anymore. Marvel what happened. It was BLAH!
Will probably watch the Avatar thing. Not a fan, I thought the first movie sucked. It was a bad B- western.
Will finish that Galaxy thing with Chris Pratt and Groot and be done. I have too many streaming platforms and I don't really watch that much on them. I will probably pick and choose when there are things I want to watch and only keep the main three Hulu, Netflix, and Prime (barely watch only use for free shipping is it worth it anymore?)
Need to seriously try to cut the cord this year and just go totally streaming.
