I don't care about the political or social issues leanings of Disney or any other business or their owners. As long as they put out quality products I'll continue to patronize them. I don't believe in trying to destroy or damage someone's livelihood because of the way they think, nomatter how different their thinking is from mine or popular opinion. Thanking them in the credits is going a bit over the line though. However, I haven't seen it for myself, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If anyone else wants to skip watching because of this though, that's their right too. |

Finally watching The Mandalorian. Who knew Jon Favreau lived in so many worlds - Marvel and Star Wars PLUS he cooks with Choi! 
I also spotted a monster who looked just like one of the monsters in Harry Potter lore...the one who skidded across the ice in pursuit of love. Also cross-world weaponry as well. It's all right, though...turning to be a good story. Of course, I love Baby Yoda!  |

Instead of being released in theaters Soul is coming to Disney+ and will be available to everyone December 25th. The reviewers who got a sneak peek at it absolutely loved it and it's currently sitting at 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. I can't wait to watch it!

Watching The Mandalorian this morning.. I could not wait till I was done with work.. I have to say 2 tings: 1.) Loved seeing Timothy Olyphant 2.) Not enough BaYo.. lol. ok 3 things.. 3.) YAY more Peli Motto! Amy is so great in this minor role, I love their relationship. Now I have to wait till next week  |

For anyone that is into The Mandalorian, did you watch the 8 episode Making Of specials? It is under Disney Gallery, Star Wars, The Mandalorian. I highly recommend it...tons of cool behind the scenes stuff.

A look at the past season of The School of American Ballet located at Lincoln Center and feeder school for The New York City Ballet. A look into the classrooms for the youngest to the advanced especially as they prepare for The Nutcracker (2019). It also takes it into the beginnings of the Covid response when classes go online.
A wonderful documentary if you love ballet - or, even if you don't.
Oh, I think they named it On Pointe because the docu title En Pointe has already been used.

I'm not quite there either. I had to stop to watch the finale of Holiday Baking Show. I'll wait til tomorrow to finish...although I already read a spoiler and a theory.
What I've found both frustrating and interesting is the use of Memes? from different shows. This time watching season 2, the giant spiders from Harry Potter only white because they're ice spiders....oh, and Melinda May an assassin from Agents of Shield played by Ming Na Wa playing a Boba Fett save and an assassin. The canyon chases remind so much of the pod races, or even the canyon run from the movie "Independence Day". Lots of fun, though, finding the off stuff. AND Grulug is even cuter.

In that series, Ahsoka Tano, (the character being portrayed by Rosario Dawson), was a Jedi in training. She sat in on all of the high level meetings with Yoda & Obi Wan & her mentor in her training regimen was Annakin Skywalker, who of course went on to become Darth Vader. Once Ahsoka saw what was going on, she gave up her training & walked away, not becoming the Jedi she was supposed to be. That is why she did not accept Baby Yoda when The Mandalorian presented him to her. They have announced a spin off series for Ahsoka & Rosario will star.
By the way, watch all the way through the end credits of the final episode for an easter egg showing another spin off series in the works. I won't give up the spoiler, but you'll have to watch.

Yup. The Rob and Laura (Dick Van Dyke Show) house along with the nosy neighbor and the out of touch boss was pure black and white loveliness. While the set was all Rob and Laura (with the twin beds) there was also Bewitched craziness with the nosy neighbor also thrown in. I am glad, though, that they went to color. The closing also seems like The Truman Show. All mixed together. The out of time colorized drone was a nice forecaster.

I'm really enjoying WandaVision. I hadn't seen any of the Marvel movies before watching, so I've had to do some reading up on the background, and I'll eventually watch all of the relevant movies, but I've only watched Iron Man so far. From what I've been reading, this series is going to be an important bridge to the next set of Marvel movies.
I've never been a fan of action films, so I didn't think I'd be interested in the Marvel universe, but I think I'm getting pulled in.

It shows the way to watch the Marvel Movies in order of what was happening along the Marvell Universe Timeline & not the order they were released into the theaters. I'd like to add one more thing. Of course it matters on exactly how deep you wish to get into the Marvel Universe, but if you watch Captain America the First Avenger, the 1st movie on the timeline, then the TV show Agent Carter takes place immediately following that movie & leads into Captain Marvel.

WandaVision seems to fall between Infinity War and End Game. From what I have read, WandaVision takes place 3 weeks after End Game.

I can see that. Wanda didn't play a big roll there, but my reason was that Vision had the stone ripped from him, killing his circuits in Infinity War and that hit Wanda very hard. She could have had a breakdown where she kept Vision alive for as long as she could. There was a bit of time between the end and the re-set.

From what I've read to try to catch up, when episode 4 shows Monica Rambeau and a bunch of other people rematerializing, it's from when the Hulk does the Snap in Endgame. And then, as razorbacker mentions, when she goes into work her boss says something about it being three weeks since she got back. You have an interesting point, though, Arielflies! Episode 4 says it's been 5 years since everyone disappeared, so what was going on with Wanda during that time? Does Endgame shed any light on that? |
