The new season doesn't premiere for a while, but I had to post this article. This is a HOLY CR@P! level spoiler.
Seriously, do not click if you care about spoilers. I don't know how people will be able to avoid this news if it's broken this far in advance AND being reported by multiple sites, but you've been warned.

Me too. First Shiva, then Carl, but this one is the nail in the coffin of my viewing of this show. Or should that be the last bullet in the brain?

Taking Carl out was total, unnecessary BS. They've really made a mess of this show.
Rick, Michonne, Daryl and Carol are my untouchables. Lose one of them and I'm out.

This is crazy! Unless the actor himself wants out, I see no good reason for getting rid of him!

The WD panel at ComicCon was earlier today. Here's the official trailer for CC: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdmwWtbKuMsI hate that this makes me want to watch, especially in light of what we know is going to happen this season.

I am actually ready for a "changing of the (old) guard". Now, please don't stone me , because I don't mean to sound disloyal to the OGs, I certainly do NOT dislike any of the cast/characters which have been there from the beginning. By no means have I been wanting to see them go - but with that said - I've seen shows that I really enjoyed gradually loose their freshness ( is "freshness" a word I can use when zombies are central?), when prime characters, after a number of years, became so familiar and locked-in to expected behavior patterns that they were essentially predictable, and sadly, I saw those shows cancelled. Anyway, all I really mean, is that I truly hope that any big shake-ups do go well and that new cast members will get the chance to rise and shine in their own right and carry the series forward through many more surprising twists and turns. *fingers crossed*

Is there a way that {Spoiler} Rick's character might leave the show without being killed off, or is it pretty much a definite that is how it will happen?

Good to hear that Chris Hardwick is returning as the host of The talking dead.

I wasn't unhappy that they had Yvette Nicole Brown at the ready to step in for CH, but I'm happier that he'll be back hosting the show. No one does it better than he does and when you see someone else try to do it, that becomes really obvious!

Gabriel and Anne? THAT'S a pairing I didn't see coming! I'm enjoying a more mature Enid, but it's sad also because it makes me think of Carl Jesus' manbun = Ezekial and Carol finally engaged = I'm disappointed that the ratings are down because I think these first few episodes have been a BIG improvement over last season.

I thought the second episode was pretty slow except for a couple things such as the amputation of course. Is Negan going to break out? Is Maggie going to leave soon on the aircraft?

I never did like that Jadis/Anne character, she's still up to no good. I liked when Rick told the others to pair up with someone they trusted - and he went with Carol. That would have been my choice too. That poor, stupid Savior who held a knife to her throat didn't know who he was messing with. And wrong or not, I'm not mad at the Oceanside crew who took out select Saviors. Smiling while killing an 11 year old boy? Nah. I couldn't forgive that either. I want to know how they grow such pretty tomatoes. Mine are never that perfect.

I didnt know the show was back on and missed a couple of episodes!! Rick seems tired and ready to just stop fighting, but everyone else is on a different page. I am afraid he is going to get taken out by a human rather than a zombie. At the end it looks like Daryll and Maggie are teaming up to get at Negan. Could it possibly be that one of them will kill Rick??? The Garbage Queen is awful! Whats up with those people she was talking to? They have helicoptors and who knows what else. Has she been trading humans for supplies? And I was quite surprised to see Chris is back hosting the Talking Dead!

Daryl and Rick were great this episode, I'm going to miss them together...and I enjoyed Michonne's midnight walker workouts. Negan's still a sh*thead, I see. Tell me that's not how they're going to take Rick out next week. The character deserves better than that (and so do we)!

I am guessing Rick won't die next week, but will hang on a couple more episodes.
Jadis/Ann really fooled me, I thought garbage lady had changed! Poor Gabriel.
Michonne really got sucked in by Neegan and his bs.

I don't know, they've made a point of saying that it's his final episode. Maybe they'll show him in flashbacks, but it does sound like he's done after this next episode. I'm disappointed that the ratings haven't been good this season. IMO, this season has been SO much better than the last 2 or 3. Daryl actually speaking in more than grunts, a little character development, good dialogue, exploring of various relationships (not just romantic ones)....it seems all positive to me. I'm sure some of the drop-off is in response to Andy Lincoln's impending departure, but I hope things improve. I'm pleased with the show this season....aside from the impending major cast changes, of course. Poor Gabriel. He's going to have to wait forever to get laid again

I'm glad that Rick survived. Maybe he'll make an appearance before the series ends.

I was okay until Daryl started crying. Soooo he's dead/not dead? I didn't like that ending. I wish they'd left it at the explosion, without Jadis and the helicopter. And Scott Gimple (not a fan of his) is on Talking Dead pimping upcoming TWD movies?? Will they have Andrew Lincoln in them, or someone else? Also - talking, evolving walkers? Ugh. I don't know. Anyway. Shane's kid grew up to be quite the shot...and it was nice seeing Jon Bernthal again, I miss his character.

I saw a few articles earlier hinting that Andy Lincoln would be/might be in the upcoming WD movies. Clearly, they left it open-ended so he could return if he wanted to.

Me too. ^^^^
I seriously loved that they used Wang Chung's "Space Junk" to close out Andy's final episode. It's the song they played at the end of the first episode when Rick was trapped in the tank with the zombies swarming all around it. As soon as I heard the opening notes, I smiled. Great choice.
I'm a bit concerned that we didn't see Ezekiel in the previews. I hope he's okay. Speaking of the time jump preview, I'm not down with Carol's long hair. I love Melissa McBride's short hair. IMO, the long hair isn't safe - too much for walkers or others to grab onto.
I love that Little Ass Kicker is living up to her nickname! That little actress is terrific.
I'm glad they did a time jump. I couldn't bear watching everyone mourn Rick week after week.

It's a kind of crazy bit of casting that the two actors who've played Henry are brothers - Macsen Lintz played the young Henry and Matt Lintz is playing him in this flash forward. Even crazier? Their sister Madison played Carol's daughter Sophia.

When will these fools learn? You don't mess with Carol. Those were the worst of the worst Saviors, so I didn't mind them getting barbecued. Why even bother to steal someone's jewelry, those things don't really have any value any more. Idiot. Rosita and Gabriel though? Where did that even come from? I don't mind the new group so much, but I'm not a big fan of Magna and her attitude. Not happy about Maggie just disappearing, either. And now we have little Rick Jr., Daryl living like a hermit out in the woods, a weird scar on Michonne's back...I have questions.

I don't know how accurate it is though.

Weird X-shaped scar for a kidney operation I think the reason the Savior took Carol's ring was that it was valuable to HER, not that it had any actual monetary value. It was a way for him to hurt her. Carol continues to be my spirit animal I love her so much, even if I do hate that long wig.

Maybe they went for Carol's long wig to age her. She looked younger with short hair. I personally I am not typically a fan of super short hair for women, but on Carol it looked GREAT. She has the right shape face. I don't at all.
Additionally, ITA long hair during this time makes it easier for people to grab on to.
On a side note, Eugene is looking great!
