I saw Chita Rivera in The Kiss of the Spider Woman probably 30 years ago. She was electrifying. What an incredible performer and an impressive career.

I'm sad for both Chita and Carl. The only good thing is that Carl went peacefully in his sleep, which is a lovely way to go.

Such horrible news to wake up to. When I left the house, they were playing a song I hadn't heard before but the part I remember was we are not sad for you but for us. Something like that. I had to fight back tears all the way to work.
It's not like it was a surprise, last time he was in the public eye, he looked so frail. F*** cancer!

A good Oklahoma boy. Rest in peace Toby. When he had Toby Keith's restaurant at Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa, Ok. he had the best guacamole. After coming back from all the shut downs from covid we were going to order some and found out he had closed it down.

Sorry to hear this about Richard Lewis. I knew his health hadn't been good, but it's still sad to hear he's gone. He was one of a kind, and I really enjoyed him over the years. Sending love his way!

When I heard Richard Lewis had died, the first thing I thought of was the episodes he did of the old late night talk show hosted by Bob Costas, which generally featured only one guest. In what I think was his second appearance, Lewis made Costas laugh so hard---he was actually lying across the his host's arm chair on his back giggling hysterically---that the network refused to air it. They did, however, air portions of it when Lewis appeared for a third time (and complained endlessly about how the network wouldn't show the second episode in its entirety because he had made Costas laugh too hard when, as a comedian, it was his job to make him laugh--which set off Costas again). You can see the episode (or portions of it) on Youtube.
I also enjoyed Anything But Love, the sitcom he did with Jamie Lee Curtis, who posted a lovely tribute to him in which she credited him for helping her get sober.

Oh damn, that's upsetting. Thank you for the fine performances good sir, and may you rest. I was watching something on youtube a few days ago about shows that lasted only one season. This episode was for 1970 and they should the actual promo clip for a show called "Young Rebels". As they were showing the actors and who they were playing, there he was!

Normally, I would say Rest in Peace, in this case, good riddance.

Two quotes from the TMZ website, which sum up my feelings exactly:
8:36 AM PT -- Caitlyn Jenner, who used to be close friends with O.J. Simpson, tells TMZ ... "Good riddance." She has since posted on X.
8:20 AM PT -- Tom Lange -- one of the lead detectives who worked on the O.J. murder case -- tells TMZ ... "I have nothing to say, I simply don't care."
I hope that Ron and Nicole's families can now get some money out of his estate.

Oh.
My thoughts are with his children, who have had an extremely hard go at it.

Oh.My thoughts are with his children, who have had an extremely hard go at it. True, but he wasn't thinking about his kids when he beat Nicole up and he wasn't thinking about those kids when he brutally murdered their mother. From what I read, the two youngest were raised by their older half siblings, who seemed pretty stable. I owe that to the first wife.

"Good riddance" works for me as well, since I can't think of anything nice to say.

I don’t claim to know what happens after you die, but in this case I hope there is some kind of reckoning/karma/judgement.
