Thanks. I was too lazy to go back and find it. I'll have to read about the Easter eggs and watch it again. I wonder if there are more in the one I posted. EDITED TO ADD: Watched it, and that was a fun one. I saw the difference the first time around, but I didn't know the significance.

I think the older Doctors often had multiple companions? And in New Who there were sometimes secondary companions. Like how Matt Smith’s Doctor’s companion was Amy at first and then later on Rory was often along for the ride, too. But, I agree, it has really been one main companion since the reboot so it will probably be a bit odd, at least at first, but it could add a good dimension. I like Bradley Walsh so I am eager to see his companion; I don’t know the other two actors. There have been some fairly significant secondary companions. Rose's friend Mickey also comes to mind. At first, he was just the boyfriend she abandoned, but he eventually played some fairly significant and heroic roles. I'm sure the new companions will be wonderful. I just know that a lot of people felt like Peter Capaldi's doctor sometimes felt like a second fiddle to the Clara show, and if there are major story lines for three companions, it seems like there might be a possibility that Jodi Whitaker's Doctor will get a bit lost in the shuffle. I hope that won't be the case. I'm looking forward to seeing where it all goes. Can't wait!

There was a time when recent Doctors had three companions - remember Amy, Rory and Rory's father with Eleven? I'll be curious to see if all three will be with her consistently. I'm going to reserve judgment about all of it until we see some episodes, although I'll admit I too am a little wary about so many companions. I want Jodie to shine. I think she will. She's fantastic. I just watched part of the ComicCon panel and the chemistry looks good between Jodie, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. Sadly, Bradley Walsh wasn't able to be there, although everyone talked about how funny he is. I thought sure that we'd get a premiere date at Comic Con, but still nothing. Here's the latest info: www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/doctor-who/260028/doctor-who-season-11-trailer-release-date-cast-story-and-newsI'm excited to see Alan Cumming, but annoyed that we're getting fewer episodes than normal. I don't care if they'll be a bit longer. It's not like they're going to be 90 minutes or something. A few extra minutes doesn't make up for 2 or 3 fewer episodes

Two had Jamie and Zoe (and others)....When Doctor 4 was with Sarah Jane, sometimes Harry Sullivan traveled along. Five went around with Tegan, Turlough and Nyssa. Three really didn't but the Brig was usually around at some point as well as UNIT people. It isn't a new concept.

I like what I'm seeing so far. But I REALLY liked Peter Capaldi's Doctor so I will be skeptical until I've seen a few shows.

I was happy to see the last of her. Eleven also traveled with River along with Amy & Rory. It's been over 2 years...I am kind of over Dr Who but I've been watching the marathon on BBC.

I found that kind of underwhelming. I haven't seen it, but aren't the shows with a new Doctor always a bit slow as they establish all the new characters?

I liked it. Usually it takes me a few episodes to like a new Doctor but I liked this one straight away. Personality seems a bit similar to Matt Smith’s Doctor. The companions were good. I guess I liked the Doctor meeting her new friends aspect of the storyline more than the contest against the big bad, though that story element was fine (just fine, though). I thought she would come back to visit them after she found her Tardis as it didn’t seem really like she was planning to invite them to travel with her, but the ending changed that.

I couldn't help feeling that Graham reminded me of Wilf, Donna's grandfather.

News reports are saying this is the highest rated season premiere for Dr. Who in the past ten years!
I'm so glad that it's going well, because you know who they would have blamed if the viewership dropped. >.>

I loved it! Frankly, I've been a little weary over the Doctor always shouting at everyone. It was nice to have one that just speaks at a normal volume.
I knew Ryan's gran was a goner from the start. We knew Graham was one of the companions, so there's no way he would leave her and go on adventures with the Doctor.
As much as I sort of didn't like her outfit in the promo pictures, I'm now a little obsessed with her hooded coat.
As with all of the previous Doctors, it will take at least a few more episodes for Jodie to settle into the role. She's a terrific actress, so I have no doubt she'll do well. I like the three companions too. Looking forward to the season!
