I've moved on to Netflix Broadchurch. It caught me guessing by the second episode. I don't normally watch British "who dunnits" but I'm finding this one to be fascinating.

The first season is the best, but the second and third seasons are pretty great too. Definitely superior to most series, period. You can't go wrong with David Tennant and Olivia Colman.

I loved, loved, loved Broadchurch as well.
On another other discussion board I frequent, we were talking about "Unforgotten" (another binge-worthy series). One of the stars is Sanjeev Bhaskar. They mentioned another series he is in called "The Indian Doctor." We are now bingeing THAT one now, and are really enjoying it!

I don't know if I feel good about myself having done so, but I am addicted to Outer Banks. I almost forgot it was back with all the Olympic hoopla going on. I started on Sunday night and finished Monday morning (season 2).

The Roku Channel has tons of old, older, oldest TV shows. I have been watching The Legend Of Wyatt Earp starring Hugh O'Brien & Naked City with a really young James Franciscus....there are 8 million stories in The Naked City, this is one of them. It's all free.

Season two of Departure just dropped on Peacock, so I'm re-watching season 1. It aired two years ago, so I knew I'd forgotten a lot of it! This was Christopher Plummer's last acting role before he passed. It's nice to watch a plane crash show that doesn't have a supernatural element (at least not yet!). Also, I'm a big Archie Panjabi fan. I'll watch her in anything. I'd forgotten that real-life marrieds Dougray Scott and Claire Forlani were in this too. Great cast!

The White Lotus on HBO Max - an odd dark comedy/satire with totally unlikable characters that I can't stop watching. You'll see more of Steve Zahn than you ever wanted to in the premiere episode...

We binged The Night Manager yesterday and today. Well done series, and lots of familiar faces. Funny to see Prince Philip (Tobias Menzes) as a crooked politician with Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) trying to figure out which politician was crooked.

I loved that series, and yes it was nice to see a lot of familiar faces... and some parts of Loki you don't get in the Marvel movies Joking aside, I loved Tom Hiddleston in there too. And what can you say about Hugh Laurie.. he is always awesome. I hope the next series will come out at some point, I know it was set before COVID and all I hope they did not scrap the plan to continue on with the other le Carré books.

Speaking of Hugh Laurie, I've gotten into Chance on Hulu. He plays a doctor, but this is NOT House. It's much darker and full of intrigue and violence. Plus, it's set in San Francisco, and not in name only - lots of exteriors around the city. I always love seeing the city on film. Great cast too, with Ethan Suplee, Paul Adelstein and Gretchen Mol, among others. I'm coming to the end of season 1 and am really happy I still have a whole second season to watch!
FireWoman - I think the other problem (in addition to Covid) with getting season 2 of The Night Manager completed is coordinating the schedules of all the actors, many of whom are very busy. I hope they do it, but I won't be surprised if it falls through.

In the restaurant scene (episode 2 or 3) where Corky is roaring drunk and Jonathan/Andrew apologizes to a white-haired gentleman at the next table and offers to buy his lunch . . . the white-haired gentleman is John le Carré himself! Pretty good actor for a writer.

My current binge is All American on Netflix. I'm almost done with season 1 - there are 3 seasons. It's based on a true story and features culture clashes and one All American caught in between - Crenshaw vs. Beverly Hills. All the high school kids look like college kids and are beautiful, of course. I'm surprised I'm intrigued by it.

I just finished Cooking with Paris on Netflix. I'm pretty sad that it only has 6 episodes because it's a really fun show. I've always loved Paris Hilton so of course I'd like her cooking show. If you watch any episode, watch her prepare a turkey. That's exactly how I am and why I buy the turkey that's already had its stuff taken out. Hah.

I was sad to hear of his passing last year

Something I've been binge watching isn't a TV show, but it should be. It's a series on YouTube from the account called Soft White Underbelly. This man interviews people from all walks of life, but more specifically Appalachians, drug addicts and prostitutes on Skid Row, and homeless people. Even though I am Appalachian, it's a good way for people tell their life story even if most are heartbreaking, their story still needs to be told. I've probably watched over 30 videos this past week.

Nothing right now but may need to Binge BBC's Ghosts since they just put out a 3rd season. Awesome show. I am a little worried about the Americanized version coming to CBS.

Season 4 will air on the CW in October, but won't transfer to Netflix until Spring 2022.
Luckily, so far, The CW streamer has been open to the public and I'm watching Superman and Lois as well as Kung Fu there. Hopefully I'll be able to watch this season 4 (at least the 1st episode - ) there.

I'm watching "Reservation Dogs" on Hulu and so far it's great. It's about Native American teens who are doing bogus crimes around the Rez so they can get money to move to California. It's funny, yet pulls on your heartstrings...especially when you find out that their friend died protecting the Rez and they want to get away for valid reasons.

I just watched the hilariously trashy Fboy Island on HBO Max. For fans of Love Island, Too Hot to Handle and their ilk. It's three women and 24 men - 12 self-proclaimed nice guys and 12 self-proclaimed fboys. They do not reveal which one they are until they're eliminated. Each episode, the women send home guys until they have to pick their final guy. If he's a nice guy, the woman gets $100K, but if he's an fboy, HE gets the $100K and he can choose to keep the money for himself OR split it with her. It's brainless but pretty funny.
I'm halfway through a re-watch of season one of Home Before Dark on Apple TV. All season 2 episodes are available, but after watching a few minutes of episode one, I realized I'd forgotten SO much, so now I'm watching season 1 again. I really love this series and Brooklyn Prince is a little star.

I have had a ROKU devise for over a year now & I have seriously overlooked the ROKU channel itself. There are a lot of good things that I have missed & that I am just now finding. I watched one of those 23 yesterday. It is called What Happens In Hollywood. It is about how the place is run by old white men & how women & minorities have an issue gaining equality. It is 10 episodes 8 minutes each.

I am sure I am late to this party but I started, and finished sadly, All American this weekend. I have to say I loved it it was impressive for a 'CW' show. Good writing, great casting, and some really phenomenal acting. I was a fan of Bre-Z on Empire and loved seeing her here...she really does NOT disappoint as Coop and how can anyone not love Taye Diggs! I cannot wait for October for season 4.

I decided to begin watching Alias. I have never seen the show before, but I knew it starred Jennifer Garner, who by the way...in my opinion, looks better now than she did back then, she is a beautiful woman. But, I had no idea Bradley Cooper was in the show. And there it is.
