Yeah! Roseanne has always been 'difficult' --- but now, after all the years she's been in the public eye, she has become really TOXIC!!!! And, in addition, she apparently can't seem to accept any responsibility for whatever problems SHE causes, or whatever bad things she says or does. Very very bad combination!
PS And I'm really glad she's off her tv show, cause it is fun, delightful, edgy, and wonderful without her!

The ratings were still great, there was no question that the show would be renewed. But I read that they had to work out how many episodes they could do to work around Goodman and Metcalf's and Gilbert's schedules. So it's going to be another shorter season like this past year.
I'm really glad that this as well as other shows are coming back. However, I worry about the cast & crew. Like everywhere else I feel people are getting back to normal way too quickly & sending a message that everything is OK again. It's NOT. Meanwhile, I'll continue to worry while I sit back & watch The Conners again.
There's always another option. You just have to find it.
From the behind the scenes I've read about / heard about, it sounds like they are taking MANY precautions, minimizing contact and taking measures to protect people. Writers rooms were done virtually. I've heard that many shows are doing table reads virtually too. When filming, sets are allowing essential people only. They are using robotic cameras when possible, cast members are wearing masks when not on camera, etc. The truth is, with a show like this for all the big star salaries that could wait it out, there are also many behind the scenes people who cannot afford to not work and are not getting paid for not working. For those people, I'm glad they are finding ways to be cautious and ensure the livelihoods of dedicated employees.
