How soon does social distancing catch up with the game shows?

It already has. Almost all game shows halted production last month. Most of them (Jeopardy, WOF, TPIR, Let's Make A Deal) still have new episodes to run, but that will probably run out soon. I would think a format like Millionaire could be done remotely if need be.
I remember when Game Show Network tried to revive "1 vs. 100" several years ago, but the 100 were all in video chat windows instead of in the studio. It wasn't as fun.

I've been enjoying Celebrity Millionaire and looking forward to Holy Moley2 The Sequel on 5/21. Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen made us lol. Is this over now. I love this show..

I agree! Their banter was delightful! And Anderson certainly showed amazing courage in the way he answered the big money questions! I loved how he kept thinking out loud but making it clear it wasn’t an answer!

AND...Kelly Ripa knew the Million Dollar answer had she had time to answer. Oh, she is going to ride Anderson about that.

That 30 seconds is so tricky! I get why they do it. But as one of the other contestants pointed out, there are some questions that take more than 30 seconds to read!

It's so important for the contestants to summarize the questions when using the ask-a-friend option and as quickly as they can. Some of the questions are so long and detailed that it only gives the friend less than 10 seconds left to answer. Not really fair. Kelly Ripa had very little time to digest the question much less think about it and give an answer. Surely the producers can come up with questions that are not so long and detailed yet still make the question a difficult one as the value increases.

Celebrity family feud..Andy Cohen vs. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills In first half there was a question about what a wife wants her husband to get hit with when he walks out on her. Man, Rinna is so dense , without a script. She said a loaf of bread.. idiot.. Andy's team won, $25000.00..

Don't premieres after Holey Moley tonight "from the twisted mind of Ryan Reynolds" -- should be interesting. It looks like a hybrid of Wipeout and Beat The Clock with some Truth or Dare thrown in.

Don't was fantastic and hilarious. A big chunk of that was Ryan Reynolds' commentary. I hope he keeps that up.
Did anyone watch Celeb Family Feud last night with RuPaul? It was funny

I saw it! I loved that the Drag Race team was so entertaining that they only had one feud for the hour instead of 2 like they normally do. They just provided too much great material to cut any of it!

Carson Kessler really had a great night last night on the game shows! I’m watching last nights Hollywood Game Night which he was on as well. It must be old because he was talking about his show with Thom. But he was really good on some of the games the other celebs had no clue of what to do!

He was also a commentator/judge on the Finale of Worst Cooks, Celebrity Chef. He had a whistle to blow for the tag team changes and managed to annoy everyone. He must have been really making the rounds before the Covid shutdown.

Last night was the first ever show. What an archaic game board! LOL
Alex explained a little more than he usually does, but otherwise very close to the current format.
He plans on doing more shows. I hope that's the case!

The sparkles and neon lights...and the way the audience oohed whenever someone answered wrong. Lol. It was interesting about the ringing in, how they didn’t have to wait for him to finish reading the clue as they do now. Seems like people would just ring in immediately and hope they knew the answer by the time they actually read the full clue.

And what was the problem with the buzzers, corrected in season 2 that Alex mentioned in the introduction to the show?

And what was the problem with the buzzers, corrected in season 2 that Alex mentioned in the introduction to the show? I found this: jeopardyhistory.fandom.com/wiki/Jeopardy!_Timeline_(syndicated_version)/Season_2 It doesn't mention a problem but does say that as of Season 2 contestants were no longer allowed to buzz in before Alex finished the answer. Maybe it was considered a problem that they could buzz in before that.

Can I just say how happy this list makes me? The Chase is awesome and they should have made more seasons. Hopefully the new Beast is as good as the last one.
Supermarket Sweet was one of my favorite shows back in the day. I hope it's just as good.
Loved Weakest Link as well.
I live the primetime game shows.

The surprise ending on the second Jeopardy! ever was that all three contestants came up with the wrong question and all risked all their money (ie, the guy in first place got greedy). So none of them were entitled to come back for the next game, LOL. Alex said this didn't happen again for another 35 years, which would make it 1999.
It was seemingly so simple. The date of the first day of the 20th century. Turns out "what is January 1, 1900" wasn't it. As Alex was explaining the implications of all the contestants getting it wrong, someone from the audience frustratingly yelled "What's the answer!" Alex immediately came back with, "You mean, what's the question!" LOL First time I can recall audience participation on that level. At any rate, should have been "What is January 1, 1901". Maybe one of them should have realized not to go with the kneejerk response. Yeah, I was wrong too.

They were so far away from the Millennium that a question like that didn't spark much debate. I remember people getting heated about whether the new century started in 2000 or 2001 closer to the actual time.
