In the first season weren't there several that we did not know right away? IIRC, they didn't reveal most of them. We knew because there were spoilers out there, but the show didn't reveal the celeb. We didn't know Pepper was related to Dean Martin until really late in the season. |

In the first season weren't there several that we did not know right away? Yes but then they told us a couple of them which I liked. I think there's an Osmond in the mix. I saw a commercial last night and there's a dark haired guy that looks like he could be an Osmond. |

Is anyone else watching this premiere episode? I'm a little bit behind, but I'm already super confused by some of these people! karna68 Thanks for the hint! I bet I know which one could be an Osmond, and during the talent show he sings, talks about how he looks like his relative who also sings. Yep, I bet he's an Osmond! Some of the girls though he looked like John Mayer, one said they bet his relative isn't a singer and it was to throw them off. LOL Carly's rap was really something. She keeps freaking out that everyone's going to know her, so she needs immunity bad! Not sure anyone's caught on, though ... that we've heard. JR tells them he's related to a basketball player, so tries to shoot some hoops, and does horribly! haha Gabriel tried to mislead everyone that his relative is a football player, even making the Heisman pose. I like how funny he is, he's keeping things exciting. On ET, the Jonas brothers hinted that one person's relative has won an Oscar and REALLY likes volleyballs. So if Tom Hanks' relative is on, they could be leading us to believe it's Carly because she's said how her person is a HUGE star. |

Jimmy Carter's grandson. Amy Carter has a son named Hugo and he did say that his grandfather had once been the most powerful man in the world. Plus, Jimmy Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize. |

What a horrible exit, which naturally reflects on him. And she did it to herself, she gave it away! She has no one to blame but herself, but I felt bad for her family because it was SO bad. I wonder if they've said anything publicly since? ETA: Carly was interviewed, and admitted she overreacted a little bit. She hopes Tom watches, and hopes she doesn't embarrass him, but then says she doesn't think she did. ! Claim To Fame Also, it sounds like she's related to Tom's wife, so he is her uncle, not by blood though. (not that it matters, I just found it interesting) Critical , that makes total sense now. I can see it, but I likely would've never come up with it myself. |

Whichever contestant said that eliminating Carly was the right decision was dead-on. She's got a nasty temper. She strikes me as the kind of girl who isn't used to being told no. She's cute and blonde and famous-adjacent....and has probably used that Tom Hanks connection to her benefit her whole life. I think she's probably used to manipulating guys who look like Hugo, so for him to get one over on her is unfathomable.
I think I know who Travis' person is and he was really foolish to do something science-focused in the talent show.

Yes, after reading an article in EW with their guesses (of which they don't have many, yet), I agree with the Travis conclusion. I had to look it up! And why would he do that?? Very silly. He's lucky he won the contest. But that's him, for sure. Also, Shayne. Easily solved once someone figures out that weird clue. Critical , I totally agree with Hugo being {Spoiler}Jimmy Carter’s grandson. It was pretty obvious from the clues he gave. There aren’t very many US presidents who have also won Nobel Peace prize. Also, I think Carter was an engineer before he got into politics, wasn't he?
But I’m not sure the people in the house will get it. They’re too young to know those facts. I had also figured out Travis and Chris, but I didn’t know the other spoilers. Thanks, AZ! I agree that Carly was a super poor sport. (Right up there with Whoopi's granddaughter.) Hugo had to go with the person that he was most sure of, and if I'm remembering correctly, the clues she was "helping" him with weren't even right.

He has a whole passel of kids - we wouldn't necessarily been familiar with all (any?) of them - and she looks like one of his exes, I think.
Travis is the son of the person I think several of us thought he is. I googled [father's name] and "children" and he's pictured with his father in multiple photos. At least the guy who looks like Dwayne Wade (can't remember his name), tried to put people off the scent by playing basketball in the talent show. Travis should have tried singing or something!
I don't see the resemblance between Steve Harvey and that one woman. They're both Black, but that's it. I don't think she looks like him at all. It's not like last season with Whoopi's granddaughter, who looks just like her....not to mention Simone Biles' sister!

I really was curious about Gabriel, so I went to Twitter, and of course they came through! He has such a big personality, and there were many good guesses online, but none were right. Leave it to Twitter! {Spoiler}

EDITED TO ADD: Whoever is doing the guessing in the EW article doesn’t seem to get the point of the clues. They seem to think that if the relative has a major award, the contestant would say that rather than saying they have something weird like a Razzie, so the EW folks eliminate people who don’t have an Oscar, for example.
Look where telling the truth about an Oscar got Carly! If there’s a clue you can give that is true but useless, all the better.

I feel sorry for Carly. She's probably getting a lot of fallout over her reaction to leaving.
She probably felt, or at least hoped, that it wasn't taped, & that it wouldn't be aired.
She should have known better though. This is Reality TV. They live for reactions like that & showing them on air.

I just saw that article, too, and my first reaction was REALLY?? I could see being understanding, sympathetic, etc., but to praise her behavior? Saying she should host the show after that?? Unbelievable. A middle aged woman behaving like that is nothing to praise. That should be an eye opening lesson for her, but it doesn't sound like she has learned anything from that. Getting positive press for it will not help, either. |

I really don't feel sorry for her. She's a grown adult. She signed the contract which, I'm sure, stated that she could be filmed anywhere but the bathroom.
I always quote Kelley Limp from RW: New Orleans about how producers can't edit IN a bad personality, "Because you did say it and you did do it."
There's a long list of people who've gone on reality tv to get famous and then they're upset that the footage is edited in a way they're not happy about. What most reality show participants find out is that the producers don't care about you and they'll edit the footage in any way they want to make "good" tv. You sign that contract and you have zero control.
