I couldn’t remember how they chose the winner, so I went back and watched the finale for last season. It was cool to see how happy everyone was that LC won. I suspect it won’t be like that this year—unless maybe Gabriel wins. I think everyone pretty much likes him.
I wonder if they’ll play the Truth or Dare game again this year. In that game, the truth answers were dead giveaways to who the relatives were. It was at that point that the eliminated houseguests (who came back for the day and could either help the remaining contestants or try to mislead them) realized that LC was related to Keke Palmer not Laurence Fishburne. Unfortunately, LC still didn’t know who Jason Aldean was and Logan didn’t get any of the Keke Palmer references.
For those who don’t remember, the person who won the Truth or Dare game (LC) got to pick which of the other two would be the guesser, and she also got to choose whether to guess or be guessed, when there were only two left.

They did a scavenger hunt in bales of hay this year. Gabriel won and got to pick the guesser and the guesee and he was the final guesser. IMO Chris was ROBBED! His clue in the scavenger hunt was a lunchbox with Donny and Marie on it! SO not fair! Gabriel's was just a turban and Monay's was some glasses with a Caesar's wreath. Gabriel picked Monay to guess Chris and she was right then he guessed Monay right so he won the whole thing. I was glad he won and not Monay, she was just way too smug throughout the whole game.

Maybe she was smug throughout the entire game because only a handful of people would know her relative's name? I have seen his face, mostly on those endless Caesars sportsbook commercials ever since online betting became legal in TN. But I don't know if I have ever heard that name before. |

I thought Nick Cannon’s turban was just as blatant a clue as the Donny and Marie lunchbox. Plus Gabriel and Monday were already onto the Donny connection. (I thought it was interesting that they actually did know who Donny was, and they just hadn’t made the connection before.)
I was glad that Gabriel finally figured out JB Smoove as Monay’s relative. He played such a good game. I was happy he won.

I’m happy Gabriel won. I would have been happy with either he or Chris winning.
Loved the little role playing between Monay and Gabriel at the beginning, where they were imaging themselves in the 70s and somewhere along the way Gabriel shouts out The Osmonds! Monay’s pretty smart lol!
As good as Monay was at some of the challenges, Chris pretty much sucked at most of them. Could he have gone ANY slower trying to figure out which tiles to put where in five minutes?! Omg
I do agree that his clue with the actual picture of his relative gave away a bit too much.

I enjoyed this season a lot. I was also satisfied with the winner. I liked Gabriel & he played a good game.
I agree that the lunchbox with the picture was going way too far.
I hope this is a returning Summer show every year.
We need more fun shows like this rather than those "let's beat up the contestants" shows.
