If I remember, hah, one part of her rant was about deserving more camera time. I guess this was to be a stepping stone to movie/TV roles. Quite the ego on that girl.

Yup, she said she didn't get enough camera time or something to that effect.

Why did the elimination upset her so much? Bachelor contestants don't get that upset Did she confuse Claim to Fame with The Hunger Games?

Why did the elimination upset her so much? Bachelor contestants don't get that upset Did she confuse Claim to Fame with The Hunger Games? I think she went on the show for exposure (maybe to get a performing career, maybe to become an influencer), and being the first one eliminated meant hardly any exposure! I suppose it's possible that her dramatic exit was calculated in that she decided to try to make as big a splash as possible in the few minutes remaining before she disappeared forever.

She's complained about not getting enough screen time, but then complained that they showed her meltdown. I think she was probably counting on the show and her connection to her uncle to help her launch a career. Maybe she's getting attention now, but I don't know how the specific attention she's getting will help her long term.

I felt bad for Carly until her meltdown.
Not a fan of Hugo. Too smug for my liking

I felt bad for Carly until her meltdown. Not a fan of Hugo. Too smug for my likingI took that as him feeling smug about getting one over on Carly, who let's be honest, probably thought she was manipulating him. We'll have to see if he's got an attitude as the season progresses.
That's the thing, isn't it? Some of these people are proud of their famous relative - I felt like that was the case with Keke Palmer's sister last season - and others think the relationship to that famous person makes them somehow better than everyone else.

Tonight they seem focused on figuring out Shayne's relative, and Travis took the clue to Jane for help. She figured it out, but kept the info from all the other people. Others are suspicious of her, like they know she's lying about things. Travis knows he has a target on his back now. I don't remember Jane's clues! They're saying she's like the mom of the group, and she mentioned having a kid. After their red carpet challenge activity, Monay is the winner and gets immunity. Jane and Gabriel are somehow in the bottom 2 (I missed how that happened). In the first round, the last two to finish had a clue revealed: their relative's birthplace. Not sure how helpful that was tonight. Now they're after Travis, because if he leaves he takes his clue about Shayne with him and they'll never see it. So they see that as leverage. I guess I'd rather see him go than Gabriel because Gabriel's so fun to watch! Gabriel did Travis a little dirty, picking him instead of Shayne, after Travis went to him. Poor young guy. They seem to know Jane is really playin'!! Okay, if they supposedly heard all of Carly's fit last week, even when she was up in her room and closet, then why can't they hear each other when they just go in that little voting booth right next to them?

I had seen some guesses about Jane based on the "wigs" clue and the birth year, so I did some Googling and found confirmation of the rumors.

And based on the birthplace of his relative online sleuths are guessing: {JR is....}related to Lil Nas X, who seems to be the only celebrity born in Lithia Springs, GA.

I really thought Gabriel should have picked Shayne. Seriously. If he is so onto Jane and wants to target her, why do her dirty work? Get rid of one of her allies.

I thought it was interesting that Gabriel immediately told a bunch of people. I think most of the house now knows who Shayne is. Chris is sure being sneaky. I hope he’s not overplaying the game.

And how do they not know who Chris is??? He looks exactly like his dad, and then he sang at the talent show. There must be clues on the wall, not to mention the one in the bottle.

I knew who he was the minute I saw him. They can't possibly be that dense. Then, somewhere along the line someone read a clue with Puppy Love in the clue. That would have clinched it for sure. I just don't get it. That and Hugo's clues darned near screamed Jimmy Carter.

Monay chose Chris's clue (that included the "puppy love" images) when she won the contest this week, but it's possible that she's too young to know Donny Osmond songs. She might know who he is but not be familiar with his music.
Same with Jimmy Carter. For a young person these days, that's like me knowing details about someone who was president before I was born. I might know broad strokes about someone like FDR who was involved in some big things, but for more minor one-term presidents, I wouldn't know details. Plus, we know Hugo's relative was a president, but that was the "lie" part of his 2 facts and a lie. Didn't ne say he was an actor or athlete?

This is why I think they aren't picking up on the Donny Osmond clues. They are all too young. I would love to have a close look at the clue wall to see what points to Donny. He does look just like his dad

My goodness, what weird clues they gave away after the competition! I'm going to need those explained to me, because they were deliberately obscure. So obscure that I don't have any idea at all what they meant, much less the people who were on the winning team who thought they'd be getting some good hints! I thought it was funny that both Jane and Chris are convinced the "Puppy Love" clue is about their relative! Shayne wins the competition, so she chooses Karsyn's clue. It's also super hard, but it had a eraser. Karsyn luckily explains the challenge clue for Jane to me (and Chris): blue collar - 9to5, Orchid Lounge in Nashville, they deduce Dolly Parton. They can't figure out the parakeet, I'm thinking Polly is a bird's name, Polly/Dolly? Monay told Jane the clues for Chris since Jane apologized to her, so Jane's figuring out the 70s from the seven t's, and then "Fools Rush In." Okay, here we go, Jane's the guesser! She chooses Chris. She says Chris' relative is Elvis!!! huh?? Cut to commercial as we all laugh.

I hate USA Today! I was purposely not reading this thread, because I can't watch until tomorrow on Hulu, and I didn't want to be spoiled. So I'm looking at my news feed, and USA Today has a headline saying that Jane, the eliminated contestant on Claim to Fame, is Dolly Parton's niece. Thanks a lot guys! GRRR!!! That's hilarious, Navybelle! She guessed Elvis? The 70s were not his decade. LOL (I realize he was still performing then, but that's not something that would be in a clue for him.) Too bad she thought the "Puppy Love" clue was about Dolly. I guess even she isn't old enough to know Donny's hits.

Gabriel shouldn’t have said all that stuff about his relative having multiple women he’s involved with. Once they figure out his relative isn’t an athlete, that’s a huge clue to who he is.
I was surprised that Chris fessed up to Jane about the Puppy Love clue being his. He’s normally been a pretty close to the vest player. That’s funny that Dolly wrote a song with the same title. Speaking of Chris, when I saw the head shots at the beginning of the show, I literally thought his was a picture of his father.
Wow! Those clues from the game really were totally worthless! I couldn’t make sense of any of them, and I know who all the relatives are.
I couldn’t imagine how Jane came up with Elvis, but I can see how “puppy” might turn into “hound dog” and “teen idol” could become “Tennessee and Rush in.” Bummer! It’s really sad that she didn’t trust her gut on Hugo. And just one question…. Since Elvis was an only child and only had one child, how was Chris supposed to be related to him?
With Karsyn figuring out the Dolly clue, it looks like Jane was going home either way. She had a lovely exit. What a sweetie!
Kinda long. Thanks for reading my TED talk. 😝

I'm watching last night's episode and really, aside from a massive Dolly Parton fan, WHO would know that she had a song called "Puppy Love"? I think the vast majority of people who know a song with that title will think of the Donny Osmond version.

Jane really blew that one. The shirts being a clue to Tennessee is quite the stretch. I can see the russian doll converting to rush in but the eyeball said idol to me. I love that she totally blew off Puppy Love even though they both talked about it thinking it was their clue.
I am kind of glad she is gone. She was too cocky for my liking. I really wish she had picked Hugo, though. He is at the bottom of my list of those I like. I do get not being sure because of his age. He does seem a little young to be Carter's grandson.
I do like the format of not knowing who is who, though.

I think the next youngest is 15 years older than she is. My bff has the same situation in her family and her oldest brother was in his early 40s when we were maybe 14. My friend was a surprise baby, so I wonder if Hugo's mother was as well.
I think, for some weird reason, Jane decided that clue was about "Hound Dog" and not "Puppy Love." Inexplicably.

Yeah. President Carter was 40 when Amy was born.
Things can definitely be weird for "late life" bonus babies. I had aa friend who had a nephew who was older than she was.

So Amy is his mother? It would be funny if he used her as his famous relative. That would make guessing that much more difficult. Still don't like him much. I find it funny Jane picked the one that she was sure of over the one that she wasn't 100% on and got it so wrong. If she had taken that stab at Hugo, she would still be in there. And I love how when she said Elvis, the rest seemed so starstruck. I have a feeling the reaction won't be quite so big when he is really revealed.
