Spoiler until show airs on West Coast..... Please do not read if you don't want to be spoiled. (Do we have a way of posting spoilers? Please do not read if you have not yet watched the Season Finale!!!! That was another terrible season finale ending "To be Continued" tonight! I hate season finale's that end this way. Why? Why can't they end a season on a happy note? This was a rehash of 2017 season Finale, only the characters have switched places. It's Vance this time instead of Gibbs and McGee. ( ) .

I like Abby 2.0. I just need to learn her name. I hope she sticks around. {Spoiler} I don't know why so many shows need to do that. Half the time I can't remember what the thing is I'm supposed to be remembering. If it were good news I'd probably remember that better

It has aired on the west coast. No more spoilers needed.
Wasn't Vance kidnapped before on a TBC final episode?

An intense episode. Given the demons they share, will Jack and Jethro eventually get together?

I like Jack, I think she fits in well with the team as Profiler.
Brooks, I've also wondered if they are creating sparks between the characters Gibbs/Jack, ever since she first appeared. Since Michael W left, they really haven't had a good couple to bounce sexual tension off of..... Tony/Kate and Tony/Ziva were the standard "will they/won't they". I know they tried to stir something between Torres and Eleanor, but they haven't delved into that since. There seems to be a lot more chemistry between Jack and Gibbs though.... they easily walk into each others space, and have, since the beginning.

I just rewatched that last episode again, the actress portraying Jack (forgot her name and too lazy to google), is very good! Watching those flashbacks again, she was so believable, I was afraid of PTSD. I think she may be one of the best actors to appear on this show. I didn't notice at first, because the flashbacks were so horrible, I could barely watch. But, she really brought out the tragedy of such an experience. I appreciate her being on the show, she grows on me more and more.

I agree she is a great actor, but for some reason I just don't like this character.

I get it, plus the way they introduced her knocking on Gibbs door made me suspicious of her at first. Plus, I was afraid she would be Abby's replacement which left me a little resentful at first. When I realized she was Ducky's replacement, I opened up. She has grown on me over the season.

I still miss Abby, but I don't mind her replacement, I still haven't fully warm up to her yet but I don't dislike her either.
As for Jack I like her, I think she's a good addition to the team, I think it's beneficial for the team to have a behavioral analyst working with them, she is able to provide helpful psychological analysis on victims and suspects which could help them solve crimes, the team has never had a character like Jack before, so I think she adds something new and fresh to the team.

Did folks catch the news about the Russian agent who faked his death and then showed up at the news conference? Reminded me of the recent NCIS episode, LOL.

If it is the same one I'm thinking of, it was a journalist and Ukraine Security Service were the ones that faked it, to foil a murder attempt against him, but the news didn't report that initially. They apprehended the suspect and then could announce he was alive. Something like that, I think.
And.... I agree, that sounds like something straight out of Fiction!

I'm glad they wrapped up the cliff hanger in the first episode, like last year.

Good start - I missed how Vance escaped after being shown on the plane. I'm glad they wrapped up that story arc in the first so now they can move on. Yes, Ducky was back to help with the agent's autopsy. I hate that Gibbs won't take even a moment to sign his name to paperwork. What will Jimmy do when the pipettes run out, or people don't get paid. I really don't like that side of him.

I have it recorded, but I watched in real time and by the time I changed the station a whole minute had passed. Guess I'll have to look at the recording.
Does the blue light blocking have to do with white screen glare? I find myself getting eyestrain type headaches the more I'm on the computer or staring at the TV.

I really don't like that side of him. But, the writers clearly portrayed the difference between Gibbs (who was acting as the Director in his absence), and Director Vance. Vance makes those things seem easy and just another part of his job, Gibbs barely wants to make Director decisions, let alone sign things on his behalf, in his absence. I thought the writers made some believable choices exposing true character flaws, and made it clear why we probably will/should never see a Director Gibbs...... (ever).

Awwwww, Nick is sentimental! I wondered why those sunglasses were so special to him, was beginning to wonder if they had secret powers (night vision stuff). But, that they were a gift from Reeves, and he is still dealing with the passing made this a very special episode. I like that he and Ellie are close partners. I don't know why they had to get him drunk before he could talk about it, but I guess that explains why he didn't open up and discuss it with Jack.

But, he didn't get drunk, did he? It was half a glass of wine and the painting party. He was just really sad and he has always been closed off due to his training for undercover. Sending him home did put a notice on his forehead and I'm happy he had Ellie to talk to...knowing they were both close to Reeves.

Oh, I was referring too the very end, when he was sitting on Ellie's step waiting for her to return so that he could talk to her, and then she got him to open up. She had to help him get up the steps and go inside with her. My bad for not being clear in my comment. I can see why the post was confusing. Hubby never understands my off the wall comments either.

OMG what an episode!!!!! First, we find Ziva's secret office with all of her files (what determination she had to resolve every case perfectly).... then, Gibbs throws Rule # 10 (Never get personally involved in a case) into the fire. Gibbs killed one of his rules But, nothing compared to the ending, when Ellie walked into Ziva's secret office, and found the note asking Eleanor to keep her secret (that Ziva is still alive), for the safety of her family.... I burst into tears at the confirmation that Ziva is alive. I know that was always the intention of deceased showrunner Gary Glasberg, and clues were given after that final episode with Tony. One clue was having them going off to Paris because as Tony said, "Ziva loves Paris" (present tense, not past). Gary said that wording was important and intentional. I don't remember all of the other clues confirming Ziva was alive, but for NCIS to include this heartwarming episode tonight, made my day! A Happy ending for Tony, Ziva and Tali! tvline.com/2016/05/18/ncis-season-13-finale-tony-ziva-daughter-cote-de-pablo/

OMG!!! Indeed!!! I didn't catch any of the clues so I am gobsmacked! It was so clearly Ziva - the moving of the personal items from the pegs to the desk so Ellie would touch them and discover the note. Oh, they couldn't get ahold of Tony because he was on his way BACK to Paris. Enroute...eh?
Besides that heart warmth, the story was very good and suspenseful this episode. What a happy ending. I hate grumpy Gibbs, but he came around in the end.
Uh...February is a Sweeps Month.
From the link:
TVLINE | That would certainly give you a juicy sweeps storyline for some future date!
G Glasberg: Welcome to my brain!

I know!!!! Sweeps and or, show Finale both work, but sweeps was perfect. Wouldn't it be great if they all did a little cameo, when this show finally does retire? That would be the best finale of a long running series for me. All loose end wrapped up nicely! I added that TVonline url after I finally found it following my original post. When that final Tony episode ended I was heartbroken, and remembered how this article uplifted me. That's why I searched for it and edited to include it.

Yeah, way too much case presentation. I really like the way Gibb's handwriting was disproved, but...the writer says Rule 10 was written on a keyboard with a cursive font. It is too regular to be a human hand. I think Ziva and Tony and Talia are staying safe as best they can. The one thing that bothers me is that the landlady could have seen Ziva when she returned to tear the page and leave the note.
