Yes, that is the same murder Abby investigated and the Director shoved the file into a box deep in the archives. Then again the drug dealer's son is still alive and in prison. He has always said he will get Gibbs. Perhaps he talked to people who talked to people.
I don't like cliffhangers either but they seem to do them every season - at least since the bombing.

Yes, Abby was the one who figured out that Gibbs killed the drug lord (who had murdered Gibbs wife and daughter). I don’t remember how she handled the matter, but she protected Gibbs.
I rewatched the episode and the judge at the end was NOT the one in vigilante group of judges. Also, I had first missed a comment made near the end, just as judge was getting out of car to walk into court, where Tim I think, said there was enough evidence to get warrants and arrest all of the other judges. So that story was wrapped up.
I think Gibbs will be the feature for Finale, and I too, hope it will be a resolution episode and not a carry over.

What the Hell?1? ZIVA?
After Diane's ghost taking a major part, did we see flesh and blood Ziva come to warn Gibbs of danger, or ghost Ziva? Her shoes did make noise in the hallway...WTF?
We have to wait until fall? They do cliff hangers, but this one takes the cake!

Ziva - "was she live or was she Memorex"?
Gibbs will never forgive Bishop for not telling him Ziva was alive, reason enough that he'll find out.
I really disliked the Diane ghost and Fornell being so out of control. Not for this program.

And sweet Emily becoming part of the opioid problem. She displayed all the signs - anger, excuses, lying - so while hard to watch, it was a needed message of realization for the times...that even an intelligent, independent and nice young person can get swept up in the crisis. I hated seeing Fornell so out of control - that was hard to watch. The Diane ghost, I think, was a set up for the WTH moment at the end with Ziva...as Brooks said - live or Memorex? Did Bishop know that Ziva was alive. It was hinted with the missing items from the cabin office, but really? Actually Gibbs did not seem too surprised to see her - but did he think he was falling deeper into his "new" persona?

Bishop knew because Ziva wrote her a note asking her to keep the secret, after the letter was torn out of the notebook.
We know Ziva is alive. I assume Gibbs still doesn't realize and that was the point of the Diane ghost character.
Ziva came to tell Gibbs that he is in danger so I suppose that will make it real for Gibbs shortly. Maybe they will conspire to secretly solve murders next season? Just feels as though NCIS has jumped the shark on this one.
I read on another forum (no backup for it) that Ziva's return was kept on a need-to-know basis and only a handful of people in production knew, and apparently kept the secret.
I don't see Ziva romantically involved with anyone but Tony, and wasn't there speculation she was having issues with him? Ziva getting together with the recently more self-aware Gibbs perhaps?

Vanity Fair has an article stating: "For those wondering how CBS kept its secret, TVLine notes that this scene was purposely omitted from the finale script and call sheet. De Pablo shot her appearance with a bare-bones crew late at night after most of the show’s production team had cleared out for the day; she used a back-gate entrance to access the stage. And thus, one of the best surprises in NCIS history was born." www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2019/05/ncis-season-16-finale-ziva-reveal-cote-de-pablo-returnShe will a guest starring in a few episodes, no word yet if Tony & Tali will be back also. But, the way they presented Ziva appearing at the end right after he understood Diane's warning about the drug lord, leads me to think that Gibbs thinks Ziva is just his mind talking to him, again. What a shock it will be when he realizes it's Ziva....or will it? Anyway, I am happy to see Ziva back, even for a few episodes. Tony and Tali would be icing on the cake.

Over bloated Tony - NO! Tali - YES!
In Michael's new role, he ended the season learning he is going to be a father with his ex-wife. Since that show is also on CBS, it would be too jarring to have him wave hello in NCIS.

Since that show is also on CBS, it would be too jarring to have him wave hello in NCIS. As of April 8, 2019 Bull has been not been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season. But, a guest appearance is a small thing to arrange when you are already on the same network. Fans have been strong in their hopes for a Tony/Ziva reunion, it brings closure to a favorite fan love story. But, you're right; Michael could be too busy. Especially if his current show "Bull" is renewed. I think I read somewhere in the past that Michael said he would be willing to make a guest appearance if Cote would. But, I can't find the article. so, here's hoping.

Why is Pauly Perrette scared of Mark Harmon? According to a CBS spokesperson: He adopted a pit bull dog from a shelter that he was training. The dog was allowed to watch filming on set, and for some reason attacked a member of the crew. Pauly was very upset that he brought the pit bull to the set, but Harmon said there was no one that could watch it at home. Then Harmon committed the mistake of bringing the dog back to set, even though he confined him to his trailer. Pauley said he NEVER should have a pit bull in the first place. She then began making plans to leave and to never film in same room with him.

Sensational news stories are rehashing that same old issue, twisting it up to make it seem like Harmon hits people. UNTRUE. Pauley is upset about Harmon period. So, she will throw him under every chance she gets. She has a new series coming out in the fall, a sitcom I think, and this is her way of ceasing the moment by getting back at Harmon for bringing a rescue dog on set, even if it was in rehabilitation. This latest story was precipitated by fans wanting to know if she will ever return, and that answer will always be NO.
Back when this started, Harmon made several attempts to reconcile with her, keeping his rescue dog in the trailer; but Pauley has been difficult and controversial. I love Abby, and it was sad and unfortunate when the one crew member was attacked by his rescue while the crew member and dog were "playing". But, she was furious that Harmon bought a pit bull breed, and that he brought the dog back to the set, even if he kept him in the trailer. She insisted he never should have adopted a pit bull in first place. (Personally I'm still a little afraid of them, but my niece has a lover pit bull, that is so gentle and sweet, I am learning to be comfortable with the breed.)
I want to mention that she was never attacked by the dog, or in harm's way; but she viewed the fact that he brought the dog back to the set repeatedly (and kept him in the trailer) as abuse and bullying. She has gone overboard on this issue. I was sympathetic in the beginning, but now she is being aggressively mean. I don't know if I can bring myself to support her new series on CBS.

I found the first episode exciting, intense and yet somehow satisfying. I know the story is to be continued, and I do hope a Tony/Tali/Ziva reunion is in the works. I mean that IS what her her story arc is about, to live freely and openly with her daughter and Tony (bloated or not). She has lost trusted friends and love ones and deserves peace and happiness.
I’m thrilled that NCIS is even doing the story and am looking forward to the resolution. I love satisfying story arcs and this one is a highlight for all seasons.

I think at the conclusion of this arc, Tony may be background noise but we won't see him. We may see Tali delivered by Dinozzo, Sr., though.

Well, he does still have a CBS show, so walking off the elevator holding Tali’s hand is not a major conflict, or interruption to his Bull shooting schedule. I’m hoping still, and many fans are as well, so I think they will do something. But, a voice phone call would be disappointing.

I read site contaminant reports almost daily. The idea that a warehouse fire would release so much naphthalene, hydrogen cyanide and chlorpyrifos that it could poison surface soil 12 miles away is absurd on so many levels. The writers really offended me on this one!

They do take generous liberties don’t they? I try to not be offended, but it can be challenging some times and that is another reason why FORT means so much to me. It gives us the platform to speak out. I am not as knowledgeable as you are Brooks, but it seemed something wasn’t right. I mean one minute he was growing beautiful, prize worthy tomatoes and the next everything was horrible. Not the best episode of the season, and I’m uncomfortable with them not getting along. Teasing each other is different from not speaking to each other, and being so easily offended.

I'm probably only offended because it's what I do for a living.
Bad stuff in soil goes DOWN, not cross country. (Unless it's volatile and wants to rise as a gas.) If it hits groundwater (bedrock might be in the way), what happens next depends on how it interacts with water. If it is much denser than water (like drycleaning solvents) it continues to sink into bedrock fissures. Petroleum floats on the top of the water table. So if it isn't too dense compared to water, and especially if it dissolves in water, it will follow the direction of groundwater flow.
So to arrive at the tomato patch from the warehouse 12 miles away, it must reach groundwater, flow as far as the tomato patch depending on the speed of groundwater flow which can be really slow, and then rise up in the soil, assuming it is volatile enough to do that. We know that groundwater wasn't at the surface here because the tomato patch was not in a wetland or surface water puddle. And all the while the contaminants must not be dissipating as a result of natural decomposition which happens a lot. Drycleaning solvents can travel for miles and end up in someone's drinking water well, or in their home if there are cracks in the basement or foundation since these solvents are very volatile. This is not what we're dealing with here.
Kind of funny that Ducky had to go with Gibbs because the three main agents didn't have the science background for it, LOL. The writers didn't either!

What an adorable show 11/26. The budding friendship between Gibbs and the boy across the street is so delightful. There were fun moments throughout around the MPV game play. I mean Teddy Bears killing with kindness by shooting sparkles? Laugh out loud stuff. and the ending with Gibbs using the laptop to chat with his neighbor. Priceless.

You know, I like "Jack Sloane" actress Maria Bello. I like her addition to NCIS and it never occurred to me that other viewers would consider her character as useless. Why is it so hard to believe that a profiler is a nice addition? Ducky was supposed to retire and we were only going to see him occasionally. So, to me at least, it made sense that a profiler replacement newcomer was ok. I don't know if the author of this article has some dislike for Bello, or if she is really reflecting fan opinion? I guess if someone said to me : pick 1 person on the team that you could eliminate if you had too, (I would prefer to answer no one) but, If I had too, I would pick Ducky over Jack. www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ncis-fans-are-convinced-that-this-character-is-useless.html/

She isn't entirely useless, she hands out lollipops. While she hasn't been included in many story lines this season, she has had a story arc all her own last season, or the one before. Anyway, now that she is no longer a possible love interest for Gibbs (the neighbor is hot in the running)she really needs to step up the profiling or get out in the field as an agent.
